Yeah they do. I played the instrument and my hands weren't flexible enough.

Guitar really hurts your fingers when you first start playing, my fingers really hurt at the moment.

Once your hands get used to it you won't hurt as much.

You should've seen me. I didn't have a pick, so I was picking with my thumb all the time. It got so torn up, that I had no skin on my thumb for about a week. It was even bleeding once or twice. Then I got a wicked callus that hasn't gone down even though I haven't used my thumb in quite a while.

Yeah I didn't like that about the guitar.

I quite like it now. My fingers are like iron.

I have not got a pick either, I just use my index finger and thumb together to strum.

Then you can take anything.

You should get yourself a pick. Get the thickest one you can find. Normally that's 1 mm. And get as many as you can.

I will once I start getting better at it. I srill take ages to change chords and stuff.

No. Get a pick now. Once you get good with a pick, move on to fingerpicking. trust me, you'll be doing yourself a favour.

I don't have any yet, but I will go to the music shop near me and get some.

It will help your hands a lot.

It's not really my strumming hand that hurts.

It will over time.
