Can anyone help with this perhaps please? - So my Grandparents have got a problem with their TV/DVD player.
My Grandparent's TV is a Sony. The DVD player is a Panasonic.
For some reason now when they play DVDs this symbol appears and will not disappear:
The remote for the Sony TV looks like this:
The Panasonic DVD player remote looks like this:
Does anybody have any suggestions on how to get rid of this?
Thanks a lot

Sorry everyone, and thanks very much for pointing that out! It was odd, all the pics showed for me...
Anyhow, I've uploaded them somewhere else now

Has it always been showing or is it something that just recently started? I know we used to have a tv on which the channel showed all the time, like that icon, that wasn't something that could be disabled though.

Boy, do I hate trying to solve these things remotely.
Anyway, that seems to be a setting that was changed on the television, was somebody messing with it recently?

(Imco's a ninja, but my two cents anyway:)
Well, I guess you could start by pressing "OK" to see if that makes it disappear. Probably a long shot. I also have a thought in my head that the video cable might be loose (signal disconnecting/reconnecting very frequently causing a notification to keep reappearing and never disappear).
Apart from that, I guess go into the "menu" and look around for some settings that look promising (or just post pictures of the menus here to see if anyone else can make sense of them!).

Imco: I haven't tried holding that button, I can imagine I've pressed it but not held it down! - Also thank you very much for linking me to that forum post
Plum: I'll try 'ok' a long shot is welcomed! Next time I go over there I'll check all the leads that are going into the DVD player
I've checked the menus but I couldn't find anything that really made sense.
