Re: Rayman Origins contest sponsored by Ubisoft
I have another technical question regarding Photoshop Elements. Can you use BUMP maps, or something similar? So say I have an image of a monotonously green field, but want to make it look like there's some sort of grass or something, so I add a layer filter or effect and the program gives the green blob a bit of texture. Is this possible, and if so, how?

Re: Rayman Origins contest sponsored by Ubisoft
Actually I prefer to wait for the 14th September and see what everyone has done.
Re: Rayman Origins contest sponsored by Ubisoft
I see the end of it, but it'll be probably finished at the last time.
So I have a question which concerns me:
Does the expiration date mean that the last day you could send your entry is the 8th of september, or should it be sent before?

Ok, I've sent in my entry. I'M SO NERVOUS ;0; I spent hours just staring at my image. At least twice I considered restarting it completely...and then more hours in photoshop. I CAN'T TAKE THE PRESSURE ;0; * collapses in a nervous heap*
....lol but seriously ;D My entry is in, and now I can take a breather *thumbs up* best of luck everyone!

Re: Rayman Origins contest sponsored by Ubisoft
Phheeeeeew... one long day of only working on my entry is over... and it's still nowhere near completion. T^T
Anyway, I've done about 75% of the characters themselves, including final detailing. Now all I need to do is figure out how to make mountains in the Rayman 2 style and how to make a large patch of grass look nice (also R2 style). Any tips?

Good luck Raygirl, and to the rest of the participants.
I admit I'm quite nervous too.

Did I tell you about the cookies I made? I messed up with them and they are now lost in the Mysts O' Tyme forever.
But, good news, I'm making a new entry!

OK, my final entry is seriously my best drawing now!
And I feel my cosplay and sandwiches won't have a chance so I removed them and I have 8 entries, all 100% done.
So tell me guys, should I make another entry?

50% of sketch... uh, no, lies, 40% finished already, have to fix anatomy and proportions. And it's only one from two parts D;
What to choose guys? Watercolors? Coloured pencils? Or just leave it, drawn with regular pencil?

Re: Rayman Origins contest sponsored by Ubisoft
Alright, I just sent mine. It's not as good as I wanted it to be, but people keep telling me I have high expectations.
I wanted to make a second entry, but since I'll be gone in the next few days, I won't be able to make another one.
So, Hunch, did you get my entry?
