I hate to once again disappoint everyone with my positive points of view, but I totally see what they're going for here. Mediaval themes have often gone hand in hand with hard rock/metal in and around the 80's, something you'd see a lot on covers and posters and stuff as well. I'm sure this game is supposed to be a throwback to those times.
On a related note, I now want everyone to imagine Michel Ancel with hair like this:
Hey Greenday, Muse wants to hang out with ya! Do you accept?

Not to sound like a hipster or anything, but there's been a mere one rock song in the top ten in the last two years. Rock hasn't been "mainstream" for quite a long time. You want mainstream rock? Grab some Nickleback or Trane.
This isn't something I am very happy to hear about it... you think with one player one could manage to control Murphy and Rayman both at the same time?
It sounds like a rather difficult task for me.
Though even though most of the levels will be platforming to it's fullest, I still hope I can find somebody to play as Murphy for me.
Get over here Rayfan.
Green Day is a mainstream band? Yeah, whatever. And that of nowadays is false, they've been out there since 1989, and they've been successful since 1994.

Some levels will require Murphy as a mandatory playable character, and Rayman will move automatically as Murphy protects him. The guy who said that during an interview commited the mistake to say "the game will be half Rayman, half Murphy" but a bit later he corrected himself saying that the Murphy levels wouldn't even cover half of the game.
Not much people reached that part of the video because of the disappointment ,so thumbs down for Rayman Legends everywhere... this news might mean a proportional loss in sales.

It's just a tech demo... but it gives us a bit of a clue of what we could expect... all I know is, it better be big, this will be the first Zelda in HD

This is actually good news. It means that theres bigger chance that RL gets ports for other systems.
How? If anything, more Murfy means less-portage.
Because if theres not much Murfy levels then its more possible to port, because PC and consoles dont have a tablet like the Wii U, Murfy is maybe not possible without that tablet.
This would be pretty messy in multiplayer... so, the player with the gameplay has to be Murphy? Ubisotf... think about it. Let's assume that the one who holds the gamepad is the owner of the Wii U, and therefore the most skilled player in the game. He was happy playing as Rayman but suddenly one of these levels appeared, and the player's character is changed Murphy... do we really have to swap controllers with the less skilled player if we don't want to be Murphy? and if that happens, is the player one forced to play as the character that the less skilled player was using before? or are all of the players forced to return to the player selection room to reorganize their characters? I really wish they do something dynamic, because forcing gimmicks is a pretty bad idea. When I get this game, I'll review it immediately here and explain it to you, because, again, Wii U is a confusing console...

Why is any of that really a problem? You make swapping controllers with someone sound like the twelve-step programme.
