I still need to get AAF to show me how to load these things up so I can have a look for myself.

So it's not Ubisoft who did it. I found it strange that they would suddenly decide to revive an old website like that for no reason.

I didn't know about this, is there a chance other official websites could be revived?

If the content's been lost and nobody remembers what the content was, probably not.

While doing some cleaning on the wiki, an old Rayman 2 image came to my mind and I didn't saw it on the site.
Didn't saw it since ages, but I remember it represents Rayman facing a giant caterpillar in stairs inside the Sanctuary of Rock and Lava (first section, after the room full of Jumping eyes).
Is it a known image? It is on this topic? And could it comes from an early version of Rayman 2?

I don't remember that image, how big was that caterpillar compared to the regular ones?

Oh god, I remember these messages.

It was an adult caterpillar, a black fluffy snake with yellow eyes. It wasn't Chenille the Red Queen nor an evil flying Susuwatari.
Plus, the black buzzing horrors don't appear in the first section of the Sanctuary.
I don't think we already saw official images from the early or final version of R2 with small caterpillars anyway.

I admire Retro for these findings he's doing recently, he has also found in another magazine a render that I have never seen before!

I really like that sprite of the carnivore plant with an eye, also nice render.

It's really nice to see these beta pictures in higher quality than usual. I can actually make the smaller details out for once, like that fairy cloud thing and whatnot.
So many different Rayman designs, too!

Also you can see the Magician's eyes in that sprite sheet (next to the the small livingstone) which is really unusual since they're never shown normally.

My favorite pic is definitely the very bottom one with Mr. Stone and Rayman on a plateau. There's just something about it, maybe it's the hazy looking background? Could be a neat sig.

The art in that folder was nice to look at as well.

I remember this image was shared by the official Rayman Facebook page for Halloween, this happened when the page was active after Rayman Adventures release, and as you can see it is using some assets from Rayman Adventures castle levels.

I find that the way the platforms are arranged make it look at first glance as if Mister Stone is giving Rayman a pat on the head. Of course, then you realize that it's his angry form, so if he were to do that, it would be with the intent of crushing him
