I suppose something along those lines, without the beard though!

It does induce a lot of freedom, but it has its downsides as well. For one, it's not easy to make very close friends, and unfortunately I'm in dire need of one since all three of mine moved away. For another, I feel like at some point in my life someone's going to try to murder me out of hate for being this way. The latter is one of the contributing reasons why I want to become somewhat famous, because of the extra security.
Awh Rayfan we can be friends any day of the week!(Specially with a voice like that!) Hell I'll even make up an excuse to come visit you over in Vancover. :D

Also, toilets that flush clockwise and C-Clockwise?...I need to go check mine..

Haha, where exactly do you live? I think you live in the US if I'm correct?

It appears each of my interchangeable accents could be used to its own advantage. I can do fluently: Canadian, English, Russian, Italian, pothead, Indian. Ones I can do relatively well: Newfoundlandian, Irish, Afro-American, Texan.

Do you do a cheap American Russian voice, or an actual Russian accent? I've always like the American Russian one just because it's so cliché and funny, but I like the real Russian one better because... well, because it's real. And Russian (accents) sound(s) cool.

And I'm not sure if you should count 'pothead' as another native language, but oh well, go ahead. :P

Also, have you been creating levels at all for RotD, or are you 'just' doing the physics and overall programming right now?

PS
I'll be your penpal if you like. ;)
Not sure if we could ever meet though.

Yeah, Rayfan, I never really understood why you didn't really want Lianna to voice Ly. I mean, your argument is that she doesn't speak fluent English - but if you give her a script that precisely tells her what to say, and correct her at mispronounciations, then what's the problem? That could work, couldn't it?

Well the problem is that you can't just suddenly make your English sound good out of nothing but a few instructions, it takes lots of practice. besides, even if I would do what you suggested it wouldn't sound natural at all, and frankly I doubt I would be able to even do that because she would have trouble understanding me. She would need to learn the language well.

If she's able to miraculously make this improvement then by all means, great, but only then would I be able to decide whether I think it's fitting or not. Obviously I want this to be as well produced as possible and I can't just say "okay" to every request I get. I can't have one person randomly walk up to me and say "hey, can I voice Rayman?" and say "sure!" Believe me, I have like 30 requests in YouTube PMs to voice Rayman.

I welcome all auditions, but people should realize that I may or may not say yes. As for Lianna's case, I'll always be open to hearing new auditions, but just remember what I said above.

As for the accent thing, I imitate a real Russian accent, because if you can do the real one then you can do the "fake" one. ;)

You can all know as many accents as you like but you'll never beat my polish accent. I can do the best polish accent ever! 100% real like! Almost amazing how good I am at doing it, it's almost like I do it all the time. I don't even think about it and it just comes out polish!

Yes, yes, of course Rayfan - I wouldn't do any different myself; in fact, I'm planning to do the exact thing. ;) I just suggested it in case the idea hadn't crossed your mind and since Lianna is really really trying hard (it seems) to get the role, I thought it might be nice to figure out a middle way; of course I should just leave this all to you as it's your game and all.

Hmm, Puss, that's interesting. I wonder if I could pull off one of those Germanic languages - oh you, know, like the language those weird clog-wearing cheese-and-tulip people speak? I think I'd do that one pretty accurately...
Shrooblord wrote:Also, have you been creating levels at all for RotD, or are you 'just' doing the physics and overall programming right now?
Just curious - I keep asking random questions because I really do want to talk but I find myself thinking of the exact same question over and over again and this is... well, boring. I could also just shut up and not talk until I find something deeper to talk about - your choice.

FUCK time is flying fast, and I'm so god damn busy. I literally haven't had a single day since... mid July where I'm not busy with extracurriculars. Not a single day (not counting sick days). Ripping the models for TeensieKing would probably take up all my free time tomorrow, and it's a pretty quick process. I really would like to pick up the pace here, but everything is getting in the way and I'm too exhausted in the evening to put some solid quality work into this game. Winter holidays are only a little under a month away, then I can finally strap myself into my chair with a double seatbelt and ride the rollercoaster of creation... the sciency one.

New soundtrack part soon though. That's one of the good changes since last year, I have two spares at school now in which I can go to the library and work on music.

Ah yes, the city of cloudy skies. 8) What's your opinion on Canada's Wonderland? I've been pretty much everywhere in Canada except Ontario for some reason. I lived in Calgary and Edmonton for six months, I've been to Saskatchewan, Manitoba, the Yukon, NWT, PEI, Newfoundland and Quebec, but not to Ontario.

Can you make me a few (around 5-10) large boulder models? Some multipurpose rocks that I can place in the environment. Make them about 3-5 times the size of Rayman. Keep them relatively simple but believable, try to keep them in the 200-300 polygon range.
