I just realized that you could control murfy with joysticks! Using joystick to move and pressing a button to "touch" isn't impossible and not too difficult. Same with mouse.

It would be nice, but sadly it is impossible for Rayman Legends :( - here's what I said about it earlier:
Drolpiraat wrote:The problem is that, as shown in the gameplay videos so far, Murfy will have to be used to do a whole lot of things (more than the amount of buttons) in a very short time. Take a look at the Greek world where Rayman flies through the fireballs on that shield for example - there's just way too much for Murfy to do there (not enough buttons to link the actions to) and without touch/mouse controls it would take ages for Murfy to fly from one side of the screen to the other to do it manually.

I knew that there would be some Murfy only levels but it seems they have a bigger role than they should. Misunderstanding again because of my bad English.

Now that i know the info the right way ill tell what i think about that.
BAD IDEA! The idea of making a Wii U exclusive that would be compatible for other systems too would be good, but a Wii U exclusive only, no. The idea in which the exclusivity is based on (Murfy manipulating) is not even good. It would work for few parts. The idea of tapping one screen and not be able to control the heroes (Rayman, Globox, Barbara) themselves, but only watching them is stupid. Im disappointed.
You can cry while I hug you, bro.
Well, im not taking it that seriously. I just better forget Rayman Legends, because well im not able to play it. Thats ok. Of course its a bit shame, because RL looks a great game. Too bad for Ubi.

But one thing thats weird about RL is that by making a big necessary role for the screen tapping, they are making A BIG MOBILE GAME!!???! Seriously, its like an oversized mobile game. The modern mobile games are also about screen tapping.

Rayman 4 and BG&E2 will come at some point im sure about that. And those will not be exclusives.

You know? I love how people think that "Not half but a good portion" means 90% of the game, while it could simply mean a 10-30%
Stop whining, lady, I'll try the game for you, mmkay? I'll tell you later if the game is completely gimmicky or a fun platforming experience.

I had a great time playing it, it's definitely a great addition to my iPod.

We're talking about Legends, not Jungle Run... Jungle Run looks pretty amazing too.

This is by no means "one big mobile game". First of all it runs on assymetrical co-op multiplayer - show me another game that does that. Yes, there are multiplayer mobile games, but they are by no means similar to this. If you think playing Murfy will be boring, I can't blame you, but support characters are very fun in my opinion after my experiences in TF2 for example. Screen tapping argument is something I can't understand - like, in R1 player focuses on pressing buttons, meanwhile Punch-Out for NES is also about pressing buttons, but this does not imply the game are similar at all.

I dare to disagree. It's totally possible as long as you think about controls well. With a 360-like pad, for example, one could make right stick move Murfy way faster, and use bumpers and triggers combinations for fast teleportation to hotspots on the screen. Add a d-pad microteleport, and you still have all face buttons free. That's just an example, note it - maybe swapping a few things would work better. The things that Murfy will do? These can easily be context based, requiring a total of one button, as a compensation for harder flying. There are a few exceptions from this rule that we know already: slingshot, which could be directly mapped to the sticks, and rotating platforms, which also could be directly mapped to the sticks. Notice the pattern yet?

Just saw the floor plan for Eurogamer expo (which is in a week from now!), and can confirm Rayman Legends will NOT be displayed there, so I won't be able to play it this time round. Never mind it's just Eurogamer being vague like they do! :fou2: :fou2: :fou2: :fou2: :fou2: :fou2: :fou2: :fou2:

Has anybody seen a special pre-order bonus for Rayman Legends yet? Since my brother has already ordered the Wii U, I'm paying for Rayman Legends so I wanted to go ahead and get pre-ordering the game out of the way. But I'll hold out if there's going to be a special bonus like DLC or a keychain or the like.

They're really keeping it as a secret this time  just two months for the release of the game... did the Ubiart crew really learn their lesson? O.O

Hmm. Has it usually meant something bad to happen to a game if it isn't displayed in some expo? I'm dumb.

There's only so much a games company can afford to display games at cons and compared to every other one they've only got three there - Just Dance 4, Assassin's creed and Farcry. They're listed on the MCM London expo website though but so far no games at all are confirmed for display yet. Again we're still going either way because we've got tables in the comic village again.

Reason I'm still going to Eurogamer is because we may as well go with some friends of my boyfriend's who wanted to film there for a youtube series they're doing and getting a group ticket on the trains for more than 4 people works out cheaper than getting travelcards for London.

I'll review it two weeks after the release... I must not try the game, I must "taste" it.

In my experience launch titles rarely have pre-order bonuses as the bonus for early buy is that you have something to play on your new console.
