Re: Rayman Origins
I've found some great stuff, and what's mind blowing is that most of it was right under our noses for a pretty long time!
First of all, the unidentified power up discussed earlier is certainly a life and this picture is proof-

It's a big turquoise heart (don't mind the little red heart, it was picked up before).
And now, a grand find! This is from a jungle level gameplay video (E3). I said before that I think the dash ability will return in RO, and I posted evidence proving it, but I now found something even better!
This is Rayman walking-

And this is Rayman running (notice the blue sparks behind him)-

You can see it much clearer in the video.
And finally, this is my biggest find- Remember the issue with the health system? Well, I think I've solved it. When playing with others, everyone obviously has one hit point (not that obvious- we have a picture of Rayman and Globox, both with health points...). But we didn't know if the health points from R1 will return in single player mode. I have the answer-
This is Rayman's default icon at the beginning of the level-

This is it after he takes a heart-

After that, whenever he takes another heart power up, it has no effect. My theory is that you will be able to upgrade the maximum health points with Lums.
BTW, the video I took all this from is this one- http://www.gametrailers.com/video/e3-20 ... ins/715285

Also, check the Comic Con trailer at the main page from our community. It shows the Telescopic Fist!
Re: Rayman Origins
Man, all this new info is awsome! Keep up the good work, guys!
Also, I have a theory about the different costumed Teeny wizards. What if each costume is version exclusive? Like, the 360 version gets the Black robed Teensy wizard, the PS3 gets the red one, and the Wii gets the blue robed one?

Re: Rayman Origins
tbh, I dont too much like the idea of seperate systems getting different costumes if it were true, as a big rayman fan I'd have to buy it on every console if that were actually the caseStuart wrote:Man, all this new info is awsome! Keep up the good work, guys!

Re: Rayman Origins
Not a fan of the new Rayman health icon. Why is his mouth open? Looks a bit daft.
But again, it's only a minor niggle. The game is generally looking more and more like the true sequel to the first game.

Fun idea, but I don't see why they'd bother doing that. Never seen the red one either, did I miss something?Stuart wrote:Man, all this new info is awsome! Keep up the good work, guys!

Re: Rayman Origins
Come on post it! BTW I'm glad they're re-using the music from R1 in some way, because if you listen to the video iambored posted, you can hear re-mastered Dream Forest music! I'm getting sick of watching others play RO, I wanna play it now!

Re: Rayman Origins
Actually it's the Band Land soundtrack, and it's not remastered. About the new attack, you can see it at 3:50 in this video- http://www.gametrailers.com/video/e3-20 ... ins/715328beebo44 wrote:Come on post it! Here's the picture-

Rayman's body is an axis and his hands, feet and head are flinging around it, causing damage to everyone near him. Notice the red aura surrounding his body.
BTW, I know this is old, but did anyone else notice the spin attack Rayman is performing on a livingstone in the second trailer? It's just like Mario's spin attack!
I also just thought of something- The boss fight with the huge pink monster from the first trailer is very much like the last battle with Reflux. I.E. the boss summons minions to fight Rayman and Globox and they have to kill the creatures in order to harm the boss.
Re: Rayman Origins
I looked at it the same way! It's simillar to Reflux indeed.
