Hm i personally don't like the way the game looks (Nothing to do with the artist(s) themself, I'm just very picky when it comes to 3D since I don't like it much anyhow to begin with >_< Its far far farrrrr less attractive and artistic than 2D things, especially for some series such as Rayman

which needs that extra quality oomph to it.) but I might play if I see the story/gameplay is good in the final version, because to me that's more important that gfx overall. The soundtrack sounds pretty okay though ^^ Keep going.
Also adapting from Blender to other programs is easier imo. Blender is far more complicated in design and interface than 3Ds max or Maya. I find 3Ds Max the easiest to work with. Picking up Blender is difficult. It has one of the steepest learning curves of any 3D program out there. But it makes absolutely stunning stuff sometimes. XD
@Deslife - I have a pretty nice easy to use instrument VSTi for programs if you need them (for more realistic sounding stuff without the bother of recording live instruments or via keyboard). I have a choir one and guitar distortion ones as well. Unless you just don't like composing on computer programs in general XD

@1st paragraph:
Haha, alright, though it entirely depends I think. If persay everything looked the exact same as it did in Origins except you can move around in 3D, it would be just as good. Personally I'm more impressed by 3D graphics than 2D graphics, partly because of the appreciation of the amazing artistic ability that could go into a game; it's more of an achievement if you know what I mean.
@2nd paragraph:
I don't agree or disagree, I'm pretty indifferent. But like I said, disregard what I said earlier.
@3rd paragraph:
DesLife meant real instruments, not software VSTs.

Hey peoples, I updated the Magician's character profile:
The Magician

The mysterious narrator who appears only where he needs to be. Unfortunately, the new reign of terror has caused him to be up day and night, strategizing battle tactics, formations and whatnots to fend off Dark Rayman's invasion. He rings up his cousin Andrew to help him. After his cousin takes the place of the strategist, he leads the fight, as both a commander and a skilled warrior. All the while however, he has one problem that's been egging him on ever since he was little. He would gaze at the teensies, gaze and wonder how they produced such amazing magic in their tiny bodies, and in the back of his mind he longed to be one. He was a magical being of course, with the ability to somehow cast magic even though he appears to be a regular person. No one knew why he had this ability when other people didn't, and not even Polokus knows. Maybe, just maybe there is a little bit of teensie blood inside him that awaited to be uncovered.
Now I know he's limbless when Rayman is supposed to be the only limbless being (other than Raven), but I'll find a workaround.

Even if you won't find any, you can always try the new official design. That's what I would think of in the first place anyway.
That or he is always hiding in his hat.
Always.

You're going to laugh as soon as you read what you didn't read: the main event of my post.

I know you don't like spoilers, but there are none in there.
Here is a spoiler however: [
When you arrive back at the Dream Forest after finishing the game, the Magician greets you as a teensie.]

Hah.
Aye, I have an idea:
The Magician had always secretly admired Rayman as well, though still not on par with the teensies. Since he looked more like Rayman than a teensie, he would cast a spell to turn his limbs invisible, imitating the hero's design. As you can see, he's very unsatisfied with himself, which is why he put on the whole Mister Dark shenanigan (which is discovered in Origins obviously).

Haha, well, NOW I've been spoiled.

It's not really much of a spoiler, I'll need to think of a way to incorporate it, if at all.
EDIT:
I've considered doing a few musical numbers in the game, and Magician could have his own song about his feelings.

I actually meant that I didn't know Magician was also Mr Dark in Origins, and even if spoilers are allowed now, I didn't really want to know this.

You haven't played Origins? I swear to god you had been talking about it. Sorry about that.

I haven't completed it yet. Things went slow when I had the Pirate's Treasure glitch. I wished that open spoilers wouldn't be allowed just yet, because I believe it's still too early with the release only like, ten days ago for Europe. But who am I to judge?
Yeah, they do look pretty obviously alike, but I didn't want to draw conclusions until I'd figure it out in the game myself. Maybe I should just avoid the entire forum until I beat the game 100% >_>

DON'T! PLEASE... DON'T! I can take many odd things and dismiss them but that would be too much.

They wouldn't be common and they wouldn't be extravagant, but just a little song that blends into the story.
Also, isn't Rayman supposed to be odd?

I have another idea:
The Magician is hiding his real appearance for some reason and he chose Rayman's species for some other reason

Well there hasn't been a 1.5 in the title for a long time, but it still takes place after Rayman 1.
Ah ok.Well,so you don't want me to record any phrase now?

No it's not. It has developed its own unique world and atmosphere and putting a musical number in will spoil it. Just Please trust me on this one. You can always make an easter egg for that.

I would care to disagree. Rayman Origins was begging for one. Look at the singing lums! I think it would work very well. Rayman may have developed its own atmosphere but there's no reason why I can't leave tracks to say 'I was here' as well.

The Magician could maybe use some music that has a circus feeling, but slowed down and played in Minor.
Unless the feelings you're talking about is something jolly.

This is exactly what I mean. It's still retaining the thematic of Rayman.
