Actually I have a new headcanon brewing about the Land of the Livid Dead and the Griskins, which could be compatible with SpaceJoker's…

Sarcasm?

Or not?
By the way I told it was a crazy idea
EDIT: ops, it was referred to Adsolution comment. Didn't see the new one. So, what's the theory?

Well I've had a chance to chew on my headcanon now, so here it is: Many of the Rayman 1 characters were actually Griskins.
The Griskins are limbless mystics. Maybe during Rayman 1, they used their charms to look more like Rayman himself, but since then, they woke up Palmito. When he turned them into ghosts, he diminished their powers, so now they look more like other Teensies.
If we follow this theory, we can say that the "Land of the Livid Dead" from Rayman 3 is actually a place in Rayman 1 (perhaps somewhere in the Blue Mountains, since that's where we see the most limbless people) which got renamed after the incident with Palmito.
Also Mister Dark is a Griskin!

One can easily be both!

Hm, and he somehow evaded the grasp of the great Spirit Palmito? I like it!

Well actually I was saying that Rayman 1 took place before the incident with Palmito, but whatever floats your boat!

(I actually wouldn't be so susprised if the writer likes those cookies so much he decided to name a mighty spirit after them)

This is amazing

Maybe the Griskins were trying to get the spirits to conjure up some Palmito cookies, but muddled their words and instead woke up Palmito!

Well he's referred to as 'the musician' and not specifically 'the guitarist', so he could play other instruments.
But going against the theory, aren't those two characters clearly different species?

Nope. The appearances of characters in Rayman 1 have almost all been retconned, so what's one more? Or, if you don't like that, try manipulating my Griskin theory above into something more palatable.

Eh, I had a feeling I'd get a response like that. Anyways, I'd better head of to the Raywiki to look up what a Griskin is, because honestly, I have no idea.

Maybe after Mister Dark fled the other Griskins moved into Candy Château, and that's where they started asking the spirits for more Palmitos! Dear God, I need to start putting this stuff into a fanfic…

I have a pretty simple theroy: the lums in RO and RL are some kind of "basic lums" that started to spawn around the world after the events of R2 / R3 (dammit Ubisoft give us a midquel). They are no longer connected to the Hearth of the World so they are infinite.

Rolling off the Energy is Everything theory, that'd mean there's been a rapid increase in Ray's Universe's entropy (with Energy thrown into chaos manifesting itself as small bodies of said Energy as it groups together, aka the Lums) - that could spell only one thing: the end of days...!

Umm… Yeah, you're probably right, I don't think that "basic lums" theory is correct, or at least not that version of it.
And Energy is Everything is not merely a theory, it's stated in the Knowledge of the World. (Plus, it's the same in reality, which is kind of nice. ^^)

Oh no, remember I stated many of the things I call the Energy is Everything theory a few posts above in the Rayman Himself topic, deriving it all directly from the Knowledge of the World and from in-game experiences; not a lot of thoughtcrafting went into it. It was more of an interpretation rollout than anything else. But hey - that's just a theory. A ga--
