Great, I'll probably test it tonight to see how it works with Linux
Added to my ToDo list anyway.

Or change location of download folder temporary, in browser's settings.

"It is a 16:9 patch which bypasses cd-check error if you insert CD2."
Is this the medicine for CHRdutch » Tue Sep 13, 2016 12:31 pm ?
He said "No I just modded the standard exe, which requires CD 2".
How about this idea;CHRdutch wrote: Mon Sep 19, 2016 2:53 pm

(also, the only reason I was capable of making a widescreen exe was because Ribshark posted the instructionsIIITA wrote:How about this idea;CHRdutch wrote: Mon Sep 19, 2016 2:53 pm

You have the skill to make widescreen exe by yourself with hex editor.
So GCW has No-CD Rayman M exe, could you start to make that No-CD exe for widescreen play ?

Using No-CD exe as a base for widescreen exe, you may not have "Please insert Rayman M CD2" problem, I wonder.
If things are as you feel, you shall be patient when CD2 is required.CHRdutch wrote:(also, the only reason I was capable of making a widescreen exe was because Ribshark posted the instructions)
That's very strange. This version changes nothing about the game's code compared to the last patch. It only adds an installer and the new configuration program. To uninstall, delete the "scripts" folder, the dsound.dll and R3_Setup_DX8.exe, then rename R3_Setup_DX8_orig.exe back to R3_Setup_DX8.Carrot-master wrote:I tried it and for some reason the game now runs in a much lower fps. I'm not sure if it's because of the Better Rayman 3 program or not, but I've not experienced it before. Other than that it seems to work fine. Is there any way to uninstall it though or do you need to manually remove the files? In that case, exactly which files does it add?
Hm, this is odd. I removed all those files now and it's still running in low framerate. Guess it's something with my computer then...RibShark wrote:That's very strange. I've just thought of one more thing. In the windows command prompt, can you navigate to the Rayman 3 folder and type the command "sdbinst -u Rayman3.sdb", and tell me if that fixes it? If it does, then that will narrow the issue to one thing, which I can implement in a different way that won't cause frame drops on some computers.Carrot-master wrote:Hm, this is odd. I just get this: "Error: couldn't open SDB 'C:\GOG Games\Rayman 3\Rayman3.sdb'."RibShark wrote:I've just thought of one more thing.
