There's a preview feature so it's easy not to fuck up.

I felt the same way not too long ago either and I had no idea how to even add images or make things italic etc. You learn fast by looking at other articles.
That can be useful to copy a gallery or something if you're not sure how to do it.StelzenBomber wrote: Sat Aug 24, 2019 7:58 pm And copy paste helps as well
I think i only ever made 1 edit ever
If you knew someone was editing I wonder could you mess with them.PluMGMK wrote: Sat Aug 24, 2019 8:05 pm I do love editing articles using Vim. With qutebrowser, I just have to press Ctrl+E and it pops up. Then I can do substitutions and ninja stuff like that.![]()
The first of many.
You'll get a notification if this happens, the same way phpBB warns you of ninja posting.PluMGMK wrote: Sat Aug 24, 2019 8:07 pm Yeah, I wonder if it does happen on wikis that two people decide to do major edits on the same article at the same time. One would end up being puzzled as to why their edits were immediately reverted and replaced with something else.![]()
Ah right. I'd imagine it's annoying all the same though.Hunchman801 wrote: Sat Aug 24, 2019 8:09 pmYou'll get a notification if this happens, the same way phpBB warns you of ninja posting.PluMGMK wrote: Sat Aug 24, 2019 8:07 pm Yeah, I wonder if it does happen on wikis that two people decide to do major edits on the same article at the same time. I use Notepad++ for that, though I have to copy-paste from and to the article. I also use AutoWikiBrowser for some tedious maintenance tasks.PluMGMK wrote: Sat Aug 24, 2019 8:05 pm I do love editing articles using Vim. It actually happened me when I edited an article and noticed a mistake, but before I could submit it, Hunch had already fixed it.PluMGMK wrote: Sat Aug 24, 2019 8:09 pmAh right. Yeah, I like to monitor all wiki edits when I have time.Steo wrote: Sat Aug 24, 2019 8:10 pm It actually happened me when I edited an article and noticed a mistake, but before I could submit it, Hunch had already fixed it.![]()
In fairness, I need to start looking over articles more closely. I have a habit of editing, thinking it's fine, saving it, then noticing something else that needs changing.Hunchman801 wrote: Sat Aug 24, 2019 8:13 pmYeah, I like to monitor all wiki edits when I have time.Steo wrote: Sat Aug 24, 2019 8:10 pm It actually happened me when I edited an article and noticed a mistake, but before I could submit it, Hunch had already fixed it.![]()
