Game is still not out on Steam in Europe so I just used VPN to trick Steam into thinking I am in US and now I am downloading the game

I've played the first hour and 30 minutes and I stopped for today in the Stockyards. I'm loving this remake so far! The graphics are beautiful with no lag and very smooth animations. The controls changed a bit too but they added useful stuff like choosing the throwing angle and sneak while crawled. I think it was worth the wait.

Let Exoddus' remake come next!

Time to start recording Let's Play in the spare time. First I will record then post commentary (hopefully Rayfist and Omar can join

). Should I try to rescue all Mudokons for the first time ever or just go through the game?

I am playing in the Hard difficulty, since it is the original difficulty of the 1997 games. I am aiming to get all the Mudokons without a miss.

Hmmm, I heard they changed quite some of the gameplay aspects, making the game easier, like the motion detectors for instance.
Nevertheless, I might give this game a shot

My only complaint so far is how difficult it is to avoid quick Meat Saws and to deactivate Mines. Either my timing is pretty bad or I am too used to the old-school timing. Despite that I really don't have complaints.

@OCG
I'd love to join but I have next to no knowledge of the Oddworld series. Many fans would be upset with me. If this were the likes of Rayman, Megaman, Zelda, Crash Bandicoot, Metal Gear Solid it'd work better.

Commentary recordings probably won't start before summer so you have planty of time to get knowledge about franchise

I know the game only got released two days ago for STEAM but I already completed it in the Hard mode. The remake was really fantastic, I can already imagine the crew doing the same treatment to Oddworld: Abe's Exoddus. I can't wait to see it happening in future

. I totally recommend this remake and it is equally a great game to start playing Oddworld if you never did so before.
Now it is time to play Alf's Escape!

Congrats Haruka
Meanwhile, I am taking my time and playing it slowly. I am not very good at the game

I also beated Alf's Escape right now:

It was fun to play, I had to play more calmly since this is a completely new puzzle. There are some areas that require precision and real dexterity so expect it to be a little hard.
Now, achievements.

Does Alf's Escape has Mudokons to rescue or not? I am just asking since I haven't tried it yet and want to know what to expect.

Alf's Escape is a new puzzle about rescuing the Mudokon Nº 300, Alf himself. The puzzle is pretty challenging so I liked a lot.
I took a screenshot in the place I found him:

Oddworld Inhabitants started Facebook campaign where they encourage people to vote for Abe for Smash 4.

Really? Honestly, I dunno if it would work well for Abe. He is more like a pacifist rather than a fighter.

I remember some people imagining a moves for Abe when they thought he would be released in PSASBR. I am positive that if they made Pac-Man a fighter who only had 1 way of attacking in oldest games, they sure can do it with Abe if they wish to.
