On a much more serious note, remember as people have said before this is only something to show off in a market survey and so not suitable for market consumption. And the 3D models are probably something else that's on the UbiArt Framework which they didn't try out in RO, so they decided to try it out in this game instead.

To all the haters of what we've seen of RO2 so far:
Calm down. Ubisoft hasn't even confirmed the game yet, the things we have seen consist out of screenshots (several of them probably based on extras)
and the (likely unfinished) gameplay of the extras/minigames.
I doubt Ubisoft is going to screw this up. Save your judgements until a later time,
I myself did not even expect to see any footage before E3. I mean, you guys surely do know what happened after pics of the original Rayman 4 were leaked?
Right-o, Raving Rabbids. Yes, Ubisoft won't do that again, but I'm just saying that what we see/have seen (for) now might not even end up in the game at all.
On another note... I've been lurking around here for the past few months and finally decided to make an account.
So let us all give the new guy a warm welcome!

welcome!
Now,I already said I'm only judging whet I've seen.I'm not finally judging the game and my opinions and thoughts of the game will be dynamic till the game is released or at least till we know the plot and/or see several trailers.

First of all, welcome to PC. I was a recent new member too and you'll have a good time here. Secondly I'd direct you to
viewtopic.php?t=1616, that's where people usually introduce themselves. It's of course fine to do it anywhere else but yeah. Just for reference, I guess.
Thirdly, I wouldn't say they're hating per say, just maybe a bit disappointed by what they've seen so far. It's also good to see a member who comes in here reminding that it hasn't been confirmed yet, though it seems like right now it's very close to being real. I don't just doubt that Ubisoft will screw this one up, they sure as hell better not screw this up, because of the criminal commercial failure that the first game got if this one isn't as good then there's still a possibility that they'll cut the life support for the series forever.

Good Day General Magma, please go here to introduce yourself if you so desire:
viewtopic.php?t=1616
I've reserved judgement until more detail has been given.
Edditaur, Ubi later claimed that RO was actually profitable, otherwise they wouldn't have bothered again with the series.

I did know about that, I guess I didn't word it in the best way possible. Basically I meant that because of the low sales rate of RO, Ubisoft would have to make another Rayman game which was just as good, if not even better, in order to make up for it. But yeah, the idea does seem kind of stupid now that I think about it, and I can't think of the best way to word it, so yeah. Just forget that last part of my post.

Rayman Legends? Now the mythology stuff make sense now. Now that I think about it, this game can actually get interesting if all the team knows what they are doing, but we'll see in E3 and later.

Rayman Legends is a pretty good title! Rayman Origins was some sort of a... tricky title, if you know what I mean

Probably more about going back to the roots of the original Rayman. That's probably why they kept the title the same when they decided on the change of story.

Yeah,Legends sounds cool but...too The Legend of Zelda-ish xD or Sonic-ish.I don't think that title fits very well a Rayman game.I personally think this game should, apart from color shades, bring back Rayman's R2/R1 neckerchief

The problem is that the neckerchief is outdated, it doesn't have the same appeal today that it did back in the 90's, and whilst we old fans may crave for its return, it's the present which Ubi is interested in, and in order to satisfy the needs of potential consumers today, Rayman needed a look which belonged today.

But I always wondered: what is a red hood alone doing in a purple T-shirt?

Why a t-shirt? It could be a leather jacket on top of a red hoodie.

A leather jacket, with no zipper or neck, purple and with a white circle on it?

I doubt that it's a jacket, given the significance of the "O" symbol throughout the series, it could be Rayman's actual torso.

Rayman Legends? Cool with me, and definitely much better than Origins 2.
If they have really named it something different, then I guess I won't have anything to worry about.

There's no better kind.

He's a guy with no arms, no legs or neck, frankly questioning his dress style is the least of our problems.
