You probably need goals. Before that, you need to choose a goal you actually want to comitt to. If you don't know what you want, experiment with plenty of things until you find what you like. I think you have high motivation when it comes to things that give fuel your interest, and you seem to be doing things because you must, which doesn't give you energy. It sucks you dry. No pun intended. Since you seem to like gaming (since you are a fellow Rayman Fan), maybe you might like making video games, drawing, making music, etc. Honestly, I've screwed myself for not focusing on activities in high school and instead focused on super smash bros melee. Sure, you can make a goal to become the best in melee, but will it benefit you in any way? Think of down the line. I spent all this time on tournaments and now it's not really paying off, I think.

Yeah at this current point in time I've set a goal to create a Rayman fancomic and eventually have a sustainable Patreon following. The tasks are daunting, but I've always wanted to be an artist as a child, freelance in fact, and I even showed the interested since I first picked up a pencil. My mom and dad swear they ran out of paper constantly and had to supply me with an art desk, even when I was just three years old. Crazy, right?

Anyway, this and being a housewife at my biggest dreams. I even quit my last job so I can get started on these things. I'll have spurts of development and growth, where I get so much done in so little time, and it's wonderful to see my full potential. However, my Bipolar II disorder is ridiculous with me. The depressive side is heavy and very constant. It sucks me dry(ha!) and prevents me from doing much at all. Sometimes I can't even get out of bed and it's disheartening. This has been a longstanding issue since childhood...

The good news is that I've just recently taken to journaling! My husband suggested this, and even though I was very skeptical of it, I started today and I guess I kind of like it so far. I'm hoping this will help give me some leverage...

And hey, all those tournaments could pay off if you went super pro in the esports scene...

Well that's precisely why I'm aspiring to become a journalist. Working purely for self-interest and financial reasons seems like a really suffocating lifestyle, I need an outlet to express myself and more specifically I want to do something that serves a bigger purpose than affording food. I don't really want to sit around and complain about politics on the internet anymore - I'd like to go in and actually influence them

So once I get my personal situation settled I would love to go around and rally, protest, donate, etc, whatever I can do to back the things I stand for, and the only reason I'm not already doing that right now is because I'm entangled in trying to finance myself and find the right education to get me there.

I assume you have a good answer, but journalism doesn't go hand in hand with going around rallying, protesting, donating and trying to influence public opinion. As a journalist you'll be expected to be a beacon of impartiality and just report on situations while keeping your opinions shtum.

Unless you mean like, hardcore blogging, but I don't know how you would find employment in that.

I wish I could counter-argue that. But you're right. The only thing that comes to mind is those overweight piggies, obsessed with their net worth, earning loads of dolla from basically trampling on society, but ultimately relying on fake friends, fake lovers and prostitutes for attention.

Well for a start there's usually a big difference between self-made men and heirs, though this shouldn't of course be generalised.
