Figures that Hoody would be the cause and leader of such a bandwagon. If you're really curious about the name, it was my original RuneScape account's name. It was meant to convey a sort 3l33t sort of vibe. It's a moniker which has stuck, but I don't have it with the intention of conveying a self-inflated sort of arrogance.

Wow, it is. Kind of surprising in a way but I do like seeing people still trying to optimize things for the better.
Too often it seems things are more lazily done just because we have bigger storage capacity, though internet isn't still quite the best in most places.

Speaking of which, modern browsers drive me bonkers. IIRC in the old days you'd at least get some of the page while it was loading, but now they refuse to show you anything until the full thing is loaded, which can still take a very long time for many people.
In a similar vein, throbbers are gone. What's up with that? They were nifty, and not everyone has über-fast internet that makes them obsolete!

Yeah, I know people who can't get DSL still, let alone any DSL faster than 1.5mbps.
