^ may have had problems because of some assets that other people used in their creations; < used a few assets from other creators and they may have had some expansion pack installed ^ doesn't have. ^ can download the Dr. Pepper Robot Part pack from ModDB, but note that it has an incredibly specific installation order. If ^ doesn't install it in exactly the right order, patching it up in the right order, etc., ^ may have to find ^'s game corrupted (don't worry - nothing a simple reinstall in the right order won't fix; also, all your creations are retained as they're not stored in the install directories but under My Documents, typically).

< used to roam around with the creations of a set crew of people from Eurospore.eu; Arkanay, Rebecca1208 (AKA SuperLoki AKA DarkEdgeTV) (god she's amazing at dragons, holy hell), Andeavor, bmpalmann... anyway, with that hub of friends, we used to have a 'common SPORE build' floating around; everyone would use the same mods, expansion packs, versions, etc.., so everything always magically worked. Perhaps < once used a certain mod part without realising. < would look into it if < could, but for the time being, <'s gonna have to wait on EA...

Alternatively, < could try and load up each and every creation from <'s Sporepedia on the online database that was included in that Adventure and link them all in case ^ wanted to check out if any of them were bogus, but that sounds rather tedious on your end.

< has downloaded the robot parts already, < checked the adventure again, and it seems to be working. Though some of ^'s adventures has banned creations, < isn't sure if < can do anything about those.

Either ways, < decided to doss about with modding, it's one of the reasons < wanted to switch to PC gaming. < already gave Skyrim mods a shot, so < decided to mod Spore. < got the Dark Injection Mod, and < has enjoyed messing about with it:

^ got Darkspore parts in SPORE! Yaaaay Darkspore! :D

< is slightly sad that <'s copy of Darkspore on <'s Mac works, technically speaking, but runs so slow it may as well be considered a reel of screenshots switching over every three or so seconds.

< knows the problem would be solvable if < installed a dual-booting system. In fact, all <'s game-related problems would be solved that way. But < doesn't really feel like modding <'s Mac too much. < may get more Mac-savvy with time, but as of yet, they're still a mystery case with a fool-operated self-destruct mechanism that preys on those willing to mod the hardware but who are still inexperienced.

Ah well, < hopes ^'s problems are solved. < wonders why Darkspore would lag on ^'s Mac, <'d assume ^'s Mac is a capable machine.

^'s told that's because it's a Windows-only game (no EA help gonna change that this time!) that < attempted to run on the Windows emulator has for <'s Mac (because NVidia refuses to make PhysX cloth physics Mac compatible even though the result they output can be used on Mac machines... the fu--?). The emulator can't use the hardware's graphics card and instead emulates one, which doesn't make for great compatibility. It may be why Rayman 2 has issues, sad as that may be (sad if the emulated graphics card can't even support a game from 1999).

Otherwise, yes, <'s Mac's a beast as far as <'s noticed.

Hmm, ^'s Mac isn't alone with the R2 issues, <'s laptop lags and runs it in a window, for some odd reason. < decided to take the opportunity to try out the DC version on an emulator, though <'d imagine it'd be best experienced on proper hardware.

< wonders if ^ is referencing LOK, or if < has just been thinking about it too much.

^ is mistaken, < did not intend any referencing. Thanks for thinking about it a lot though!

^^ will be told by < that <'s just contacted EA support for the final time. < knows now why it's taking them so long to follow through with the case - it's not laziness of it being an old game or company resources counteracting it; it is in fact a very understandable issue of them needing the actual game code to be able to do anything. < can imagine that acquiring it takes some effort.

<'s like to extend <'s gratitude to EA's customer support base once more. < doesn't understand the issues many people have with it. Though <'s sure there's a fair share of non-helpful help desk people around... the sheer amount of great staff <'s encountered seems to argue against the odds. Maybe disappointed people are just more vocal about it all than satisfied ones.
