I've never been into reading clefs because I'm a very by ear type of person. The only thing I look at is tabs for guitar which is simple to me like the start of Nothing Else Matters would go:

Code: Select all

E|-------0-----|-------0-----|-------0-----|-------0---7-|
B|-----0---0---|-----0---0---|-----0---0---|-----0---0---|
G|---0-------0-|---0-------0-|---0-------0-|---0---------|
D|-------------|-------------|-------------|-------------|
A|-------------|-------------|-------------|-------------|
E|-0-----------|-0-----------|-0-----------|-0-----------|
Hmmm..that works too.
Where i used to live, I could only put a keyboard since an apartment room was too small, but these days I use a piano. Still, I wonder where that old keyboard went. It may not be as grand as the piano, but there were some quirks that I liked in a keyboard over a grand piano.

I have 2 keyboards but as I said not the room or money for a piano though I'd like one :)

I think those are all pretty good suggestions. The one about automatic weapons might not be very popular but I think it makes sense.

You just don't want to end up like France, where the only ones that possess weapons are criminals and terrorists, and people can't defend themselves against them. Of course there's hunting guns but you can't (and don't want to) carry them around but that's about it. :|

Yeah, although I'd suggest to keep em automatic weapon legal as long as they're of small caliber. For sentimental reasons.

France's a country o fags about taht, agreed. I never feel as secure as when I got muh leadspitter attached to my belt.

On another hand, 'em frenchies if we still can call em that with the mixing, are more violent than what americans tend to be, thus leaving the weaponry question a bit unsolvable in France.

An automatic weapon of small calibre is a hell lot more deadly than a big-ass revolver.

Depends on the situation.

Now imagine the following, you're in a long line, in a bank as an example, in a tight corridor, and you decide to go postal and take out a micro Uzi outta your bag, you start shooting the guy facing you, but the bullets hardly go through the body the other people are using as a meatshield... So you take out a Magnum Research BFR chambered in.500 S&W Magnum cal... You know the drill... Goes through everythin' like if it was butter.
Now I'm talking about small cal to be legal because a protection against it it possible, put on a kevlar with some plates, and it's all right (As long as it ain't subsonic though, but this is reserved to special forces). While if you wanna try to protect yourself from some 5.56 NATO or 7.62, I wish you good fuckin luck, shit's even going through sandbags... I swear that it would be a huge progress to even regulate the circulations of weapons of war, just calculate the chances of surviving a blast of 22.long vs a goddamn 5.56 out of a AR-15, excluding the possibility of a headshot, chances of survival are always higher with small calibers...

I'd prefer not to have EITHER of those pointed at my face. :pfff:

Personally, I despise weapons in general in real life, even having one in my house makes me nervous when I think about what my parents or ancestors could have done with that horrible thing.

I remember when I was a kid I was searching through my house I found two swords in my dad's closet and I wondered what were they for. My dad punished me immediately and hid them in my future closet of my future room (the irony). I also noticed a gun in my mom's closet too, which I assume was also my father's since my mom doesn't look the type to point a gun at somebody. I guess every parent has his/her own secrets. :oops2:

Well, when living in an hostile environment, or even after that, you learn to worship anything that can keep you alive, to the point where you start to regularly clean up that object, oil it, and dismantle it in a regular manner, you only get that after your life gets endangered in my opinion, tbh now even when in a "civilized" place or country, I'll always carry a pipe wrench on me.

I guess it's all just for self defense in the case of an emergency really. Personally in this house, my dad has always kept a baseball bat somewhere handy so if someone tries to break in, there's a bat there for self defense.

A very long time ago he had a pump action shotgun, but that was just used for hunting. I admit that when I was like 5, my dad held and pointed the gun at a starling and gave me the ear muffs and let me pull the trigger

Someone broke into the house when I was about 8, we were all out and they stole the gun. I guess they watched him and knew he had it.

After that happened, he said he'd never keep a gun in the house again. Still though there was always a baseball bat in the corner in case someone tried to break in. Someone tried it around 2013-2014 when I wasn't actually here but as soon as they got the door open they just ran. Apparently my dad heard it and went out with the bat to see 2 teenagers running away. We found out who they were in the end as they were blabber mouths, so the story went around and let's just say they may have been taught a little lesson by someone we knew because we knew more people than they had expected. Also they didn't try it again after that

This area was pretty bad for break-ins a few years back and the worst thing is the little scumbags lived locally.

Yikes, break-ins aren't fun.

Not that I've ever had one, but I've had people attempt to rob before. I remember saying this once, but one time my sister left the garge door open thinking I was going to come home immediately but it took me 30 minutes before I got home, and during that time, someone attempted to steal the brand new lawnmower we had. Luckily Dad came home before they were successful, though I got chewed out for leaving it open so long. Also my cousin has had her car's emblem stolen numerous times. (I can't pinpoint the exact model, but it's a BMW) They never found who kept doing it. Dirty punks... :pascontent:

Hello everyone. Um, yesterday i had quite a bit of a shock as in the morning I heard that there was yet another school shooting. Normally this would already be such a tragic thing to happen in really, any country, but it was much more concerning for me as this particular school shooting happened in a high school that is literally about less than an hour from where I live. This day has given me a reminder that life is way too short for all of us, and that somewhere out there is always going to be some terrible/wacko person out there who kill people for no viable reason. Jeez, with all the things that have happened lately, I hardly ever feel safe anywhere in this country or even where I live anymore, when I have to live in fear of anyone who literally could just pull out a gun for no reason and with no warning and shoot you just bc of a dumbass reason. Sometimes really it makes me wonder why weapons were even invented in the first place if the main reason is to harm/kill living creatures, although I'm aware there are other uses for them. Being on here is really the only place where I can talk freely with people without any real care in the world, even though I am still kinda cautious on here.

I haven't felt safe walking around where I live in a long time or specifically at night. Those teenagers always have to try make an eejit of you around here while they're all out of it on weed, coke and God knows what else.

It's a disgrace seeing them like that and all they want to do is try show off.

I'm not convinced that having everyone walk around with a 'bulletproof' vest is the solution here, not to mention that they never cover the whole body and do not always protect from severe wounds, even with small caliber projectiles.

What you got there is an analysis of the penetration of high cal into a flesh body, the M16's bullet being 5.56, however I'll let you know that a Micro Uzi can only be chambered in small cal such as 9mm or 22lr...

Boosts chances of survival however. In my opinion the main issue is social there, massive shootings happen in school for a reason, and if automatic weapons weren't there you can be sure who did that would've done it with as much as a lawnmower blade or a makeshift flamethrower, if not even both, the weapons themselves ain't pushing these dudes on the edge of postalness.
Now I picture a kid grabbing The great communicator for a massacre... Weapons surely boost the bodycount though, but the trend of more and more dudes being pushed to their lower instincts is surely caused by something...

You know, I never really understood that prank, mainly because I've never been pranked with this song. I don't get why people would get annoyed with this song, it's a pretty good song!
