I guess the "advertising on other websites" option uses pretty forum-centric language, given the era in which it was written. Should it be updated to include (or even exclude ) social media sites?

Yes it should! I wrote this almost 18 years ago, after all.

I have inserted a link in my page, Rayman Redistributor.

I'm many years late to say this, but I convinced Raydijay to join in 2017 (through YouTube comments on his YT channel, but the old account I used doesn't exist anymore), and I advertised RPC many times on my site (like here in the "Recommandations" section near the bottom), plus various content like my Rayfanpedia presentation.
Does it count?
