Wha-ow! That's looking great! I hope those fixes won't be as much as a hell to do as this last job has seemed to be. So what was the problem? Why did your model not want to import into the engine all of a sudden?

It wasn't "all-of-a-sudden," because before, in the gameplay videos you've seen, Rayman was merely an animated object instead of an animated character, there's a difference, the main difference being that animated characters can have a rig. However, to export a rig and to export a character is a much more delicate process that has many more Rulez and restrictions. Unfortunately, CryEngine likes to handle bipeds the best, which Rayman obviously isn't, because he has no legs, arms or neck. Usually CryEngine must have all the bones linked together as one skeleton, and unfortunately Rayman has six separate skeletons. Because of this extreme anomaly, I managed to contact a member of Crytek who is helping me export the character, even though it supposedly defies CryEngine, and she's having quite a success-streak.

Wow, cool. Also gives CryTek something they should improve on, I believe.

Flwahahah.
I hope they do improve upon this system, it's rather touchy at the moment.

Can I see your model? I'm curious.

Wrong environment, but yeah, you know exactly where these are from:
Although instead of being in a desert, they take place on the upper portion of Music Mountain (there are three parts to the level, Rolling Hills, Metropolis, and In the Clouds), and these appear high up in the clouds, as the environment high up in Gong Heights resembles that of the Desert of Didgeridoos.
And here's a fun little setup:

Thanks beebo! I actually just uploaded a video of them, but they now have sound, they're basically the same as they are in Origins:
Rayman also does flips in the air now.
I recorded the didgeridoo samples myself.

you're game is getting better and better, what kind of things from RO do you want to put in it?

I think it makes sense putting things from Rayman Origins, since this game is pretty close to that game. Then again, Rayman 1 didn't have lots of things from Rayman Origins...Damn, i'm confusing myself again.

Thanks everyone! Gosh the video looks like crap when I compare it to the 60 FPS gameplay.

The punching system for sure.

I love the didgeridoos!
Anyway, you could have one of Origins's bosses in RotD. My suggestion is the Dragon Chef; knowing how you could pull it out it would be even more epic than in Origins, and the music you would make would be obviously Crowning Music of Awesome

But this isn't bad at all for a single person working on a big game. In fact I think it's very impressive that you got this far!

How would you be able to translate a 2d boss like The chef into 3d? The wall running would definitely make thing's complicated for the camera.

Would it necessarily have to involve wall running?
If there was to be a boss from RO in this game, I would want to see Murray. I love that serpenty bastard.
But if a King was to be introduced into this game it would conflict with Rayman Origins' story. It tells that the kings turned into nightmare forms during the game, soon after which they were freed from. Perhaps the cutesy forms could be in Rayfan's game (and not as bosses), but that's entirely for her to decide.
