Right, so I recieved this in an email days ago:
Google+ Team wrote:You've received this email because you have a consumer (personal) Google+ account or you manage a Google+ page.
In December 2018, we announced our decision to shut down Google+ for consumers in April 2019 due to low usage and challenges involved in maintaining a successful product that meets consumers' expectations. We want to thank you for being part of Google+ and provide next steps, including how to download your photos and other content.
On April 2nd, your Google+ account and any Google+ pages you created will be shut down and we will begin deleting content from consumer Google+ accounts. Photos and videos from Google+ in your Album Archive and your Google+ pages will also be deleted. You can download and save your content, just make sure to do so before April. Note that photos and videos backed up in Google Photos will not be deleted.
The process of deleting content from consumer Google+ accounts, Google+ Pages, and Album Archive will take a few months, and content may remain through this time. For example, users may still see parts of their Google+ account via activity log and some consumer Google+ content may remain visible to G Suite users until consumer Google+ is deleted.
As early as February 4th, you will no longer be able to create new Google+ profiles, pages, communities or events.
See the full FAQ for more details and updates leading up to the shutdown.
If you're a Google+ Community owner or moderator, you may download and save your data for your Google+ Community. Starting early March 2019, additional data will be available for download, including author, body, and photos for every community post in a public community. Learn more
If you sign in to sites and apps using the Google+ Sign-in button, these buttons will stop working in the coming weeks but in some cases may be replaced by a Google Sign-in button. You'll still be able to sign in with your Google Account wherever you see Google Sign-in buttons. Learn more
If you've used Google+ for comments on your own or other sites, this feature will be removed from Blogger by February 4th and other sites by March 7th. All your Google+ comments on all sites will be deleted starting April 2, 2019. Learn more
If you're a G Suite customer, Google+ for your G Suite account should remain active. Contact your G Suite administrator for more details. You can also expect a new look and new features soon. Learn more
If you're a developer using Google+ APIs or Google+ Sign-in, click here to see how this will impact you.
From all of us on the Google+ team, thank you for making Google+ such a special place. We are grateful for the talented group of artists, community builders, and thought leaders who made Google+ their home. It would not have been the same without your passion and dedication.

I also have one from last month (February 1st) titled "Your personal Google+ account is going away on April 2, 2019".

This is worrying me a quite a bit. It wouldn't affect my visits coming here, would it? :(
Google+ accounts are the same thing as Gmail?

Not at all, it's just like a social networking thing similar to Facebook that nobody really uses: https://plus.google.com/

Gmail and everything else Google related should remain unaffected.

EDIT: I should point this out though:
If you sign in to sites and apps using the Google+ Sign-in button, these buttons will stop working in the coming weeks but in some cases may be replaced by a Google Sign-in button.
This just means that anything that says "sign in with Google+" will no longer function, but ones that just say "sign in with Google" will still work fine.

I'm actually surprised they kept it for so long!

Me too, it was practically dead years ago to be honest.

I was reading about the great famine again tonight because St. Patrick's day had me thinking of Irish history. I knew it was bad, but it was far more dramatic than I had thought. Ireland's population in 1841 was 8.5 million and it ended up being 2.8 million by 1961. About 1 million died between 1841-1851 while another 1 million emigrated with the majority of those going to America.

That is why I don't like when people use potato jokes against us, because it seems very disrespectful towards that era.

Would anyone take a spare minute to give me feedback on my InDesign typesetting skills?

Thank you.

Sorry, but I don't want to read an entire 264 page long PDF. That's just the truth.

I don’t need you to read the whole PDF. Just skim over a few pages here and there.

I have to agree with this, especially since I have things to be doing that I keep putting off as it is.

You don’t need to read the whole thing. Also, I don’t need immediate feedback. Is that so hard to comprehend?

Yeah but you're making it look like you do want immediate feedback and I feel like this was just forced onto me. Sorry, but that is just the truth. That's my honest view.

Also, please don't start with this. I don't want the forum to be toxic.

Whoops, I just saw what you meant. Is this better? I just edited the post to sound more kind.

Whoa... and now I really don't want to spend my free time reading it when you give me that kind of attitude.

You don't need to be a jerk to everyone. Also don't ask for feedback if you don't want any immediate feedbacks. Is that so hard to comprehend?

Is it me or does Hoodcom suddenly appears out of nowhere when something like this spurs up? This makes me curious sometimes. .

Everything should be fine now. It is not something we have to do anyway. We have better things to do.

When asking for feedback, you have to treat people like customers with the respect they deserve.

I mean, I do want feedback. I just don’t need feedback immediately.

Then, like I said, don't make it sound like you do want immediate feedback. Also, from the way you told me to leave you feedback, you made it sound like you just demanded it. Another thing, people may be busy or they're doing something else, yeah.
