Tings are from R1. Here, they are collectables that you earn by posting. Tings are used in ranking.

Everytime you post a message, you earn 5 Tings. Tings determine your avatar, you can check the rank list here There are other ways to earn Tings, such as advertising and supplying new Rayman 4 information. Of course, spammers are subtracted Tings, but I do not think you are concerned ^^
