I'm sorry to say Droolie, but I would strongly suggest to rethink the name of the electoon ( he used to be called Electrix, rigth ? ) if the name isn't given to him for some reason in the plot. Since, well, blue is a little, ... unoriginal
and unmotivating ( I mean by this that just the name of a character can stick with you when you think about the game after playing it ).

Keep up the good work ! Here's an idea for your next video: make us a trailer if you have enough material already !

Blue isn't unoriginal, in the first pokemon game (red&blue) the city's were called with colours, like lavender town and etc.

I'll probably change Mr. Dark's eye, just haven't had the time yet ( because of all this working on my game my work for school's been piling up... :S ).
I'm also rethinking the name, but I may just leave it as Blue. I just don't know yet.
And finally, no trailer, sorry. Haven't got enough to show you yet.

Is your game improving with GM 8?

The speed of the game, the memory usage and the size of the executable have certainly improved a lot.
There's not much progress since last time I posted though... too much work for school I'm afraid.

So how's it goin?

Okay guys, I think I'll program the first boss battle this month. With Mr Dark. I've already got really awesome moves in mind. But before I make it, I want to make sure if the current Mr Dark looks alright. You said something was wrong with his eye, so I changed it a little today. This is how he currently looks, along with a comparison in size with the other characters.



So I ask you, does Mr Dark look good enough? I think he does, but then again I thought the last version of him looked okay, so yeah.

Don't worry about the pose, that WILL change. Same for the other characters.
Things like hair will move ( as you see in the previous video, Electrix'/Blue's/whatever's hair waves, same for Lily's, and that will also be done for the Magician's hair and the Professor's weird moving ball chain on his head.
For Mr Dark, the little bells hanging from his hat will actually look like they're hanging ( as in, they won't be as immobile as stone ).
His cloak will mostly wave to the left ( every "layer" of his cloak can move, I can make the left parts expand a bit and the right parts shrink, which would make the cloak look like it's waving to the left ), but I can make it move in any direction according to his movements.
His eye can move too, just like the electoons' eyes.
So that's all awesome and all. But is his look as awesome? That's the only thing I'm asking you.

It is, it looks GREAT, that's atleast one good thing today.
But who's that robot?
Is it from the early psx R2 beta?
Or is that the boss?

But I've got a little question: is it right that Mr. Dark's hands are darker then those of the rest of your characters? I have a feeling that that's a (little) mistake, but I have to say that I never played further then the Blue Mountains in Rayman 1, so I can be wrong.

Nope, not a mistake at all, as you can see on this picture.
