I like a good mix of pop music (in english, french, and japanese), techno, and rock. Maybe the occasional country song too.

I like listening to a bit of everything, whether new or old. I definitely have a thing for music I've listened to growing up, which includes videogame music, so that's always going to be a given for me. I have quite a lot of favorite artists, although I'm not going to divulge the information right this second....

When I had my iphone4, i had like 46 video game songs in there LITERALLY (lord knows HOW I managed to do that). I have to do that again soon so I don't have to keep switching to youtube to listen and possibly wasting battery on my phone.
Edit: Rayman songs might be the only exception, I like using raytunes very much
Edit2: Oddly enough, none of the songs were Rayman songs. I would be ashamed of myself back then, but these days when I go walk Rayman is what I listen to

I like rock mostly, some metal too. I like rap too because I grew up listening to it for years but my favourite overall music type is probably punk rock.

Metal and Rock of all kinds... I've been listening a lot to folk metal recently. I also like future bass, trance, techno, and I LOVE old electronic music, like Robert Miles' music (children is my favorite song ever, I have 7 versions of it on my phone). These are my favorite genres, but I often listen to others, like orchestral music, some lofi, j-rock /j-pop ... oh and I absolutely HATE rap and rnb

I just want to point out also that what they call rap nowadays, isn't rap anymore, I think they killed it and gave it a really bad name. Drake isn't a rapper.
I only like some of the old school stuff, but I definitely prefer rock over it. Not that I expect others to like it but I thought I'd point it out just in case that new stuff is peoples inspiration for it.

I like Video game music overall.
But other than that:
Classical music
Country music
Drum and Bass music
"Deep House"
Techno mixes(as I call it)
Disco music
Ragtime piano music
I mostly like instrumental music and sometimes Some of them with vocals. But that is mostly what I stated above.
And that is pretty much it about what music taste I have.

I’ve recently started listening to hip-hop (Kendrick Lamar and Biggie Smalls) and I love it.
I tend to lean towards a lot of old-ish pop singles (Stranger in Moscow, You Spin Me Round, Africa, Tarzan Boy, Rasputin...), J-Pop/J-Rock (The Pillows), Chiptune (Anamanaguchi), EDM (Aviicii), I guess buttrock (Crush 40) and, uh, video game music (everything on RayTunes, Sonic 3K...).

Wow, that's a lot of favourites. 
I can't help but feel like your favourite ice-cream is vanilla, mint, banana, chocolate... (and just about every other flavour too).
I like a few genres also, but my favourite to put it simply is Rock music.

I'm mainly a fan of alternate, indie, pop-punk and rap. Favourite artists are probably Bloc Party, Green Day, Arctic Monkey's, Paramore, Gwen Stefani and Kanye West.
Noticed a lot of people have put video game soundtracks here. I don't really listen to them only exception is Silent Hill. My favourite soundtrack of the series would be from the second game. There's some heavy guitar music, cool melodies and some piano based music. It just fits the game so well and it's the only video game series where I will listen to the soundtrack. It's all really emotional the music rather than horror focused.
