What kinda caught my attention was how the animators were informed to preferably not go Ren & Stimpy on Wander, but then it happened. Well, I personally don't mind the slip given the shitty situation Wander was in. [The part where he thinks Sylvia left him already gave me so much feeeellsssss ~~]

Watching Korra? If you like that, you'll most definitely enjoy Aang's tales too. From what I've heard several people say, Korra's story is quite alright, but has no chance of living up to Aang's (which doesn't really surprise me - I mean, they put at least 6 years worth of preparation into Aang, the philosophies used and the characters, music, animation and... well... everything just blended together seemlessly and wonderfully).
Nay, starting off with the last airbender series first. It's brilliant. I really do wonder why the movie, outside of being so bad, had trouble even looking like the world that's presented in this series.

Indeed, the Critic made a big issue on how the world was very clear in its lore and presentation, and yet it was still mucked up.

I've seen the movie and while I didn't know anything about the show I still thought it sucked. Like he pointed out the entire movie is just them trying to give rushed explanations about the whole series.

I've always loved Ren and Stimpy so if the show goes down that direction then I'd love it even more.

Nah, Wander has its own kind of humor. But if you were talking about the animation, I'd have to say I disagree. Wander is nice with it's own style as I saw in the animators' reference sheet. I 'd prefer if it stays like that.

Gormiti are starting on Cartoon Network in 20 mins. I will record opening on English since nobody did it with decent quality. I will record audio only with phone and replace audio with audio from video footage from Polish version I found on internet.

Good luck, the previews alone turned me off, but, never judge a book by its cover.

I recorded intro. I am gonna convert it in mp3 format and use it as a replacing audio for video with good quality but with intro on polish.
I can definitely tell you that it can be seen that it is aimed for kids, but I don't mind that fact. I suppose every episode has a moral as well and this one had that patience and taking things slow are important in fight. Since this is second Gormiti Cartoon to exist, I can tell you it is better then other one because it follows the original story of Island of Gorm unlike a previous cartoon that had it's own story that had nothing to do with Gormiti timeline. I also like the characters better. In older cartoon, main characters are kids who can transform in Lords of Nature and go in paralel world of Gormiti. In this one, main characters are actual Lords Gormiti and not humans. Only humans so far in new cartoon I saw are Old Sage and Empress and hopefully no more. Not to mention that older cartoon was made by Marathon, the company known for terrible shows like Team Galaxy and Totally Spies. Seriously, their shows are so repetitive. Every episode follows same formula. Only thing I liked better in older cartoon was animation because in new cartoon it is CGI and I prefer actual animation. So let's see. The older cartoon has: Good animation, bad story, bad episode plots and generic "kids must save the world characters"
The new cartoon has: CGI that is done pretty decent in my opinion but I personally prefer actual animation, good story, and actual characters that are from Gormiti timeline. As for episodes since I watched only one, I dunno will every episodes follow same formula like Marathon shows do (I hope not), but this episode ended with cliffhanger so I think that whole story progress through episodes and that it is important to watch episodes in order. Unlike Marathon shows where you can for example watch episode 12 of some show and then watch episode 5 and there wont be any problem.

If anyone is wondering how I know original Gormiti story and timeline, when you buy figures, you get a poster that tells a story. Figures were made in 2005, and spin-off show with kids as main characters was made in 2009 or 2010.

I used to collect Gormiti figures alongside with Digimon figures. I can take a picture of both collections if anyone wants.

This guy. Seriously this guy has to be one of my favorite voice actors. Charlie Adler has to have one of the most recognizable voice for me. He has voiced many cartoon characters ranging from Cow and Chicken, Mr. and Mrs. Bighead, Ickis, Professor Monkey-For-A-Head, etc. This post was just for me to show how much I love this guy's voice talent and how he gave voices to such cartoons.

I'm kind of waiting till I've filled up a buffer of episodes I can watch in one go. I watched the first two though and really enjoyed them.
Keane wrote:Like he pointed out the entire movie is just them trying to give rushed explanations about the whole series.
Yes! Exactly. The movie is very strange in how it jumps from story to story and from event to event. If memory serves, there wasn't even a real connection between the leaps. The only reason I knew why some things were happening was because I knew the cartoon and knew its story progression. The movie is almost like a live re-enactment combined with a synoptic tale that merely summarises main events of the series, but not a movie-ised version of the series.
OldClassicGamer wrote:Not to mention that older cartoon was made by Marathon, the company known for terrible shows like Team Galaxy and Totally Spies.
Oi! Don't you knock Totally Spies!
OldClassicGamer wrote:Seriously, their shows are so repetitive. Every episode follows same formula.
I know - that's part of the fun! It always goes bad guy -> go to fight 'em -> get kidnapped -> escape -> profit! It's like the A-Team: bad guy -> standoff -> lose standoff, get captured -> bust out with crazy mad machine/invention -> take over bad guy lair in standoff -> (now this one is very important:) car flip leads to car explode (sometimes in mid-air because of course 'car upside-down = car explodes') -> apprehend bad guy -> profit!
OldClassicGamer wrote:Unlike Marathon shows where you can for example watch episode 12 of some show and then watch episode 5 and there wont be any problem.
The filler episodes are the best! Twenty minutes of watching clips of episodes you already saw or maybe one or two you haven't yet making you want to keep watching to catch those missing ones.

Seriously though OCG, you make a valid set of points.

I still think Argai is one of my favourite cartoon shows out there. Avatar (TLA) is probably the very best one I can think of.

Currently watching Yu-Gi-Oh from episode 1 up because I got inspired by Magic lol.

Hm, that quote chain seems to be badly messed up there.
In terms of other cartoons I watch, I also follow Regular Show and plan to follow Korra when I'm ready. I've also been following Beware the Batman, it's an interesting change, and one that I think is doing pretty well. I've finished the entirety of Transformers: Prime, so I'll just wait 'til the next cartoon is out now.
I also watch a bit of The Amazing World of Gumball if it's on Cartoon Network when I'm on the channel, but I don't actively follow it.
