What? You don't need to backtrack! However, that one cage in the 3rd stage is annoying.Master wrote:Yup, have fun in the level before Space Mama, the cages in there are particularly sadistic, requiring back tracking.
That and Gong Heights; the glowing sun was epic.Master wrote:Meh, on the whole, the background changes on the Saturn version are meh, really, there's only one circumstance that I can remember discussing where it was good, and that was when they changed the background on the level before the Space Mama boss fight, to the one featured in the fight itself.
I know this post is old, but it still pisses me off, since emshomar was just trying to enforce the rules of the forum, and you're criticizing him for that. Sure, it's the job of moderators to enforce these rules, but that doesn't mean users can't try to help. A post like this just means you're drunk with power (and, yeah, it's a fucking Rayman forum).Master wrote:Em, leave the moderating to us, 'sides, reading his post shows that it was justified.
He's being 'criticised' for his inability to appropriately enforce the rules, even on a community level. Sonicbrawler's double post was justified enough for it to be looked over, yet emshomar decided to take it upon himself to try something he's not technically qualified for, and then fail. Master told emshomar to leave that sort of thing to the mods because that's why they're mods; to put it one way, they're the least prone to screwing up, case in point.technology4617 wrote:I know this post is old, but it still pisses me off, since emshomar was just trying to enforce the rules of the forum, and you're criticizing him for that.Master wrote:Em, leave the moderating to us, 'sides, reading his post shows that it was justified.
A forum like this generally has enough moderators on them for no help to be needed, and some staff members also have complete control over users if they wish, so every situation is always under control; this is in stark contrast to real life. Depending on the situation however, law enforcement on a forum by regular members is fine, so long as they possess desirable enough qualities to potentially take on the role of being a good moderator anyway. If they really don't in the slightest, then they're basically just being hypocritical.technology4617 wrote:Sure, it's the job of moderators to enforce these rules, but that doesn't mean users can't try to help.
A post like the one I'm replying to just means you're drunk. I find it amusing that you're accusing Master of being drunk with power, when he's probably one of the most humble people I have ever met in my life.technology4617 wrote:A post like this just means you're drunk with power (and, yeah, it's a fucking Rayman forum).
No, a proper analogy would be a kid taking it upon himself to shoot anyone they perceive as bad, with no forethought whatsoever.technology4617 wrote:It's the same as some guy on the street yelling at an intoxicated driver for running a red light, and a nearby cop responding with "Hey! That's my job, you piece of shit!"
Nonononoo, tech, you didn't understood well. My post is useless because Brawler's double posting has it right. Just like for example this thread:technology4617 wrote:I know this post is old, but it still pisses me off, since emshomar was just trying to enforce the rules of the forum, and you're criticizing him for that. I think what happened is because we are trying to find a certain address that fixes some things, Em found the address that modifies the width of RaymanMaster wrote:Hm, seems that the hack has come under some horrible issues.
Don't lie! I didn't find any code yet.RibShark wrote:Em found the address that modifies the width of Rayman
Yep indeed, finding a needle in a hay stack *looks at RibShark like this ⌐‿⌐ * . Well actually I am not really such a great help, so all credit goes to RibShark!RibShark wrote:Just about. It's like finding a needle in a hay stack though, so many addresses to look for. Trying to find the one that modifies the spacing between 2D objects, then once we have done that I think we'll release a new version of the hack.
I edited my post to reflect that!emshomar wrote: Don't lie! I didn't find any code yet.
