Ever since that incident I have never not been happy to have someone point out my faults/goofs.

Well yeah, they attempted to change it, but I classified it as a "fail" because we all continue to say it the old way anyway, and it was stupid to try to push something new on us.

Though the French pronunciation has always been "Loums" it seems, which probably explains where they got it. Though using "illumination" as the reference in English isn't good either, since some of us pronounce that with a "lume", not "loom".

I have never pronounced "due to" as "do to".

I have never thought about our accent in that way, how we call it "Chewsday"

Also I have never called them Looms and I never will either
