I don't think maintaining the floppy driver is work-intensive though. :P

Probably not, though just having to remember to take care of it is quite something in itself.

You just reminded me that I haven't checked on Manipulate the Image in ages! :P Looks like the theme's still Santa Ray, and there are still no entries even though it's over a month since Christmas.

Well, that's quite unfortunate, and it leads me to a crucial question:

I know it's completely unrelated, but the video just reminded me of the time we had Storm Desmond and someone done this.

Ah yes, don't make unnecessary journeys! It's a lot less funny these days. :( Still really catchy though. :hap:

Also, wasn't it Darwin, not Desmond? Or maybe I'm thinking of something different...

I'm not sure, I just remember it being the really bad storm that resulted in such a rough see that it broke part of the sea wall in Tramore and there was a big hole in the road where someone's minivan fell into it.

Do pigeons have feelings?

Well, I once read about Nikola Tesla falling in love with a pigeon, but I don't know if it was reciprocated… :P I'd like to think they do have feelings, but I'm honestly not sure. Why do you ask?

All I know is that if you walk around a populated area full of pedestrians, pigeons just walk around through the middle of them, completely unphased, while most birds would get nervous and fly away.

Well, the word feeling is polysemic, but if you're referring to sentience (being aware of one's sensations), then I would tend to think not. However, we probably do not know enough about animal intelligence (or simply intelligence for that matter) to answer the question.

I thought I'd noticed a general trend in the last decade or so where birds in cities are getting bolder around people, but maybe it was always the way with pigeons.

Sometimes I like to imagine that pigeons are the real owners of the cities and they just let us believe we are because it benefits them – that's what I get for watching Animaniacs :fou:

Ugh...the amount of pigeon corpses I've seen even in just the past 3 years... including the one road casualty I saw while I was on my way to a job interview. >.<;;;. I'm convinced that one feeling they definitely have is glutton. It always happens when they're trying to eat tiddly little bits of food or carrion stuck in the roads.

One time as well I had a baby pigeon sit on my garden fence and it wasn't super bothered by me going fairly close to take pictures. Depends on how much people feed wild animals.

It could be that animals have greater intelligence than we have. Cats and dogs obviously use their cuteness to their advantage. That's why you always given into what they want, especially when it comes to food.

I can vouch for this, every time I try to eat something, I turn around and there's a dog there sitting with their paw in the air.

I've been alright for the most part, I've been spending a ton of time playing Splatoon 2 with my friends. I've clocked in over 2,500 hours into it so far. :oops2:
