Nah, there’s a lot of autistic/gay YouTubers and you’ll be fine as long as you’re not “zesty”

I have been bullied for being too weird btw, so i think people would really dislike me lmao

But ive stopped caring, cuz if people leave hate comments, then it just pushes my videos more.

And this is also why i think people should use the block button.

Also, I don’t think people actually hate autistic/gay people other than edgy kids on YouTube shorts, so you’d be fine even if

uhm, I think people are genrally more accepting nowadays (Im lucky i was born in the 2000s, so i wasnt sent to a mental hospital), but i still have faced ableism/homophobia from full grown adults.

I guess people really dont like change.

In a lot of places you’d have to go through much more than a mental hospital. Even in 1st world countries these probables remain

My mom has told me stories of ableism i faced as a TWO YEAR OLD.

However, the most outrageous story she told me is the one where i was rejected from a school for, i kid you not...

"We dont want to take care of an autistic child."

And now i look back and im like, What? Autistic children arent hard to take care of, you guys just dont wanna change your ways to be fair to disabled people.

A lot of schools are too lazy to help these people, even ones that do (like my primary) do such a poor job that these kids hardly do anything but annoy people

i think a lot of the time neurodivergent kids dont know they are being annoying, so they get bullied to the point where they dont trust anyone. No one believes them when they say they are hurting, which causes them to lash out in a way that may include annoying people or even hurting others.

If we lived in a perfect world, then we'd be able to help neurodivergent people.

A lot of people tend to blame the disability itself for these kids lashing out, however most of the time its the people around them who make fun of them, tell them that theyre not hurting, and that theyre too weird for everyone else.

Tbh I think that's the reason a lot of neurodivergent folks tend to congregate on fandom, we all have our own hyperfocuses and things we're really passionate about and places like these tend to be a space where we can actually express that without feeling awkward about it. I know full well that there's a fair few neurodiverse folk in the Rayman fandom, some of them are pretty prominent figures in various fanworks.

I am one of them apparently... as i am apparently the only one whos willing to write x reader fanfics for characters that have none. Its really weird for me to have people praise me for my fanfics when ive been made fun of for them, so yeah... Im glad this forum is so accepting.

I think most people on this forum have either autism or ADHD. Autism affects many people in different ways, but one way is that they usually are incredibly attached to certain pieces of media (usually sonic, I’ve found)

I remember there was a poll and i think the majority of them were neurotypical? I may be misremembering.

Do you have a link to this poll anywhere? I’d really doubt that

This is from 2013, so maybe we could redo this poll?

You don’t have to be autistic to be neurodivergent. Also I’d recommend suggesting it here
