Ahh yes, printing figurines, I did try to get into miniatures, but I cannot for the life of me focus on anything for that kinda period of time xD
I have too many unbuilt and unpainted things atm

I can't say I know much about the intricacies of manufacturing, but I suspect that they'll probably be contracting out the production to a facility. While it might sound like they'll lose money not selling items, it could be that they lose more money having to contract out stuff on top than they'd make back selling.

Again, this isn't my realm of experience, but I know manufacturing orders can be quite complicated, cause you get things like economies of scale which can affect pricing.
