The Electric State. Pretty good modern dystopian movie, but I couldn’t help but make Drake jokes half the time

Yesterday, I went to see
Disney's Snow White, the latest remake that was quickly shaping up to be a disaster... and indeed was. It is so bad, it is actually hilarious.
Woke hell

it's actually not woke in the slightest, if you except the fact that Rachel Zeigler isn't white, which is not a plot point at all.
(and that's if you even accept the dumb premice that wokism is an actual thing and not marketing slop for fash retards)

Not to be that guy, but Pirez could be able to actually say it. Unless your problem is just it being said in general, in which I understand

I personally don’t mind the “r slur” but only if it’s used at the right time. If it’s referring to idiots, then I don’t think it’s alright. But if it’s used to question yourself or in a scientific manner then it’s alright.

I just watched the 1938 Wizard of Oz. I liked it. I absolutely hate musicals, but I enjoyed it a ton.

Sonic 3. Very funny movie, I don’t understand the hate it got (though it was very cheesy, and the plot was a little confusing)

It's a really fun film, lots of looney gags, I guess you could even call it a... LOONEY TUNE

While not of any importance for the plot whatsoever, the color of her skin is the very reason Snow White is called that in the original fairy tale, and changing it is an obvious act of woke revisionism, which of course in an actual thing, unlike, well, the misconstrued idea that anyone with socially conservative views dreams of a dictatorial, ultranationalist regime and has a poster of Mussolini in their basement.
Either that, or the positions of Georges Marchais on security, immigration and identity make him more of a fascist than almost every contemporary politician out there.

Surprises me, you really struck me as the type who’d fully believe in wokism, guess not. I also was kinda overreacting for fun about the “woke trash” thing

I also thought of Pirez as more of an old school commie.

Actually, the movie sets aside 15 seconds of screen time at the very beginning to give a new explanation : it's because she was born during a snowstorm. We've come to accept the new vampires in Twilight and we'll come to accept this, because it's not the great signal that the gays are taking over the world.
Also, there's a reason the communist party started dying the moment Georges Marchais started to sprout these ideas. For a political movement whose electoral base survived a rightful demonization in 74 and the Soljenitsyn bombshell, they suddenly vanished once they were told that their algerian collegue who busted his ass just as hard was a freeloader or that the gays were all morally bankrupt because... reasons. So not only do I agree, but focusing on that supposed wokism instead of real issues is what cost him the most (inb4 "he was cancel-cultured in the 80s" when in actuality free speech is not consequence-free speech)

Not a movie, but my sister and I recently finished watching season one of Daredevil (2015) and moved on to The Punisher (2017). Both look enjoyable so far. We'll be watching them interleaved so as to not get bored.
