Instead of jumping away and immediately getting the 2nd Mask, Umber (Named Colossus on PSX version) gives a warning to Rayman about the Ninja Henchmen, and when Rayman was about to pick the 2nd Mask, he is attacked by a Ninja Henchman. After defeating him, Rayman gets the mask.

The Gold fist makes it stronger and lasts until he loses a life.
The Speed fist makes it faster and up to three boosts can be gained by collecting more than one. Each boost lasts until he loses a life.

Throttle Copter, Lockjaw, Vortex, Heavy Metal Fist (in Rayman 3), Gold Fists (in Rayman 2) and Speed Fists in Rayman 1.
