I know some supermarkets do have "World Foods" aisles, but I don't tend to see stuff from the US there...maybe I should take a proper look next time I go to the shops.

Foreign aisles tend to be from Eastern Europe or Asia or anywhere that could be considered more “exotic” than the states. Corner stores sometimes have an American section but they’re usually nothing much.
(I have to say, one of my biggest regrets is not getting any US imported snacks when I was in Lanzarote

)

If you ever get the chance, try ketchup chips! Theyre really good!

Poutine is fries
and cheese curds topped with gravy. Mmmmm….speaking of which, if there’s something I’m really craving from Canada, it’s nanaimo bars.

Have you guys ever been genuinely surprised that a product is sold in your country/area? I was very shocked to see cookie crisp, golden nuggets, and Kit-Kat cereal at my local Sainsbury’s today, as I thought they were only sold in America. It wasn’t even a novelty aisle either, just the regular cereal aisle
I think Golden Nuggets have been around in the UK since I was a kid. Never seen the others tho.

Peak as in best or as in worst? It can mean both these days

Wait poeple use peak in a negative context? Can't say I've come across that before.

I’ve heard it mostly in British slang I think. I’m not sure if it’s sarcastic or not. I remember someone trying to explain what peak means to me and I was genuinely so confused because I’d heard people talking about peaks positively before
