You could watch it, but it's incredibly slow and boring. But I do like the underwater world. It's really cool!

Also, Italian sharks. Beautiful.

I'd watch it for the memes, but it's certainly no Shrek. Funny to think this came out around the same time as Shrek 2, DreamWorks certainly has its peaks and troughs huh.

There's SHARK TALE MEMES? I'm just watching it because I heard it was bad! :hinhin:

Although, this being made by the same company as Shrek and Madagascar is hilarious. I didn't even know at first!

They will never be as evil and terrible as Disney. Though they are making crappy movies/shows, they will never be Disney. :?

Never seen any of those movies, so I wouldn't know anything about it. :oops2:

There's memes of everything, and Shark Tale is one of those so bad it's good sort of films.

As for DreamWorks, I wouldn't say they've become another Disney. While they don't have the same edginess they do in the 00s, I still think they can go against the mould. Puss in Boots: The Last Wish was a stellar film that I'd rank amongst their best.

Also while I don't think Flushed Away was the best, I think it was a really solid film, not one of Aardman's best and indeed I do agree with their assessment when it comes to meddling, but I still think it was very good.

As for Wallace and Gromit, if you want to see the pinnacle of British claymation I strongly urge you watch them, it's an occasion whenever a new one comes out for good reason.

Really? I find it hilarious. I suppose I should rewatch it then and get some modern perspective.

I finally watched the first Lord of the Rings last night, it was pretty good. Wasn't my favorite or anything, but I had a good time.

I plan on watching the rest of the trilogy relatively soon, then maybe I'll watch the animated film or smth

I've been watching The Orville. (yes, this is a show, and not a movie... but there's no "Shows you've recently watched" thread, is there?)

I haven't finished it yet, only about 5 episodes into the 1st season... But it's awesome!

Sure, you could say it's a Star Trek rip-off, but I think it does well in separating itself from its obvious inspiration. The jokes are funny, and Seth Macfarlane is a talented writer and a real creative guy. I've always loved his work, from Family guy, to Ted, to American Dad... etc.

Also, Scott Grimes is there. So, immediate 11/10!

Watched Psycho last night, it was great, I really don't have anything new to add that hasn't already been said.

I watched the entire Beverly Hills Cop trilogy + 2024 sequel within the past month. Very enjoyable light comedy + action. You have to be prepared for the idea that the movies don't even pretend to be realistic, mostly in two concepts:
1. The ridiculous hilarious bullshit that Axel (Eddie Murphy's character) keeps making up, that no one would ever believe, and yet somehow they do\
2. How all the bad guys unload magazine after magazine of machine gun ammo at the good guys and never hit, while the good guys can take them out with precise pistol shots, time after time.

Not a movie, but instead a show :hap:

I've been watching Seth MacFarlane's The Orville and it's an amazing show. Good concepts, funny characters... Scott Grimes

I think I watched most of the show in a couple of weeks... and the episodes are an hour long!
I've got 4 episodes away until the show's over! :ouin: Screw the (also magnificent) Ted show for slowing down the next season!

*rant incoming*

As everyone is also talking about shows they are watching, I figured I’d bring up one as well; Race Across The World.

For the most part, it’s pretty fucking amazing. A bunch of Brits racing against each other across the world in pairs is very entertaining to see, and it’s definitely influenced a lot of places I wish to travel to (like Kazakhstan).

But the thing that really pisses me off is that EVERYONE has a sob story. It feels so artificial knowing that many travel-enthusiasts will never have a chance to go on the show because their life is stable for the most part. This is coming from a guy who has lots of sob stories on the table and thus could fairly easily get onto the show (I haven’t bought them up here for personal reasons, though). What’cha say about this, guys? :|

Isn't that just Reality Shows 101? Play up the drama, any contentions, any interesting morsel, anything to get eyes? I swear that's how BGT has sustained itself for as long as it has.

Yes, just it’s unfortunate that it affects a show that I really like. Fuck Britain’s got talent as well.

Watched The Texas Chainsaw Massacre last night.

One of the most atmospheric films I've ever seen, it creates such a desolate, grungy atmosphere, it feels like a nightmare at points. I have issues with it, but the atmosphere alone makes it worth a watch in my eyes.

(7/10)
