I haven't even played Mini so I you can guess the answer.

Can someone please confirm if this is a reference to Rayman? In the RayWiki and Wikipedia it is listed as a Rayman cameo, but some people think it has nothing to do with Rayman.

I'm not sure, where is that picture from anyway?

It is from the first level of Tonic Trouble.

It's hard to tell, I guess it would be easier if we could inspect the model in more detail. Maybe Droolie's Raymap could be of some help?

Maybe this can be done directly in the web version of Raymap? This would spare him the effort!

A closer look of the texture. It seems that this character is bald and the black circle next to him looks more like a bomb/cannonball than a lum.

Here it is Just let me know if you need any textures from any Rayman games (or ones which run in the same engine).

First in-game confirmation that Rayman's an eggplant? Seriously, it looks more like some kind of TT-related monster than Rayman, though I don't know / recall what any of the TT monsters actually look like.

Imagine, Rayman the limbless eggplant thingamajig!

Maybe that's just a costume or an easter egg alluding to Rayman or something?
TT is yet another game I would be curious to play someday.

Yeah, same with Rayman M/Arena. I do have M, but I have to use Rayman Control Panel to install it, then use dgvoodoo so it won't have graphical glitches on Linux. A GOG version would have been pretty nice.

Yeah I woulda loved to seen TT and Rayman M/Arena on Gog. Pity, cuz i can't find the PC version of Rayman Arena online, that's one version I'd be curious to try too.

I would like a copy of Arena since there's a way to play online apparently. That would be a laugh to have 4 people online.

Great, thanks a lot for extracting the texture!

I think the color of the torso and the skin tone are similar to Rayman’s (the character being limbless doesn’t count because everyone in TT is like that), however the shape of the head is different and the character has no gloves.

Imagine 4 Globoxes competing against each other, that would be fun to watch! Then the Globox theme will be a continuous play when you're racing and not interrupted, by, let's say, Tily's theme if she passed you.

I agree that this doesn't look like a Rayman reference. We can safely remove the corresponding mentions from the wiki.
