I didn't say this was the RPC Racing Game topic, I said it was the RPC Motoring topic, its purpose is to discuss cars in general.

I'll avoid public transport as much as I can, though I'll agree that in some big cities driving is just too much of a pain in the ass.

Hehe, bay parking is a hard thing to get into indeed, never manage to get between the lines, then I become a bit too finicky.

It's all about turning in sooner than you think, at least, for me. Only in the last few months have I perfected the art of stall parking (we call them stalls over here; why do we have to have a different name for everything?).

Driving in Europe sucks in comparison, the cities are generally so much more compact, it's hard to move. Only in downtown/highway rush hour does it really become a bother here, otherwise it's quite pleasant.

I am a witness. You definitely want to avoid driving in Lisbon's downtown.

Hehe, seeing as I live in a town, heavy traffic isn't all that bad.

It really depends on what you're driving. If you're driving a luxury saloon or 4x4 geared for comfort, then an automatic transmission would suit the car. If you're driving a car that has sports heritage, or is sporty then a manual transmission is the way to go. For the most part I'd chose a manual. You have much better control, and changing gear is a form of expression! Autos are good in the right sort of cars. Having a sports car with an auto box is just SINFUL.

Hm, speaking of motoring and sports cars, next series of Top Gear has been confirmed to start February 2nd.

Yeah, they either need to make it good again or just quit :P Don't get me wrong, I love Top Gear it's one of my all time favourite shows, but the last lot of seasons (probably the last 5 at least) have been pretty substandard.

Meh, I've continued to enjoy it thoroughly over the ages, perhaps I'm not quite as well versed in it.
I do also love watching the plentiful reruns on Dave.

Too many adverts on there! I just get hold of the DVDs cheap, they depreciate off a cliff :P Like half the cars they feature! ha!

Meh, I don't watch much on the box anyways, so it's usually whenever I'm downstairs for whatever reason.

Now after having some hours of driving with a manual car, I think manual cars are pretty funny :)
Sure automatic makes life easier, but I'd go for the challenge :P
