If the house suits my needs. I don't generally consider myself challenged enough to think ghosts are real.

Is it bad English or something?

Should it be 'I'd have said'

and you lot really need to get over yourself and drop the superiority complex :P It's pretty obnoxious at every slight 'error'

Which I'm not even sure if that's an error

Is this a test? :P

'I'd of said' makes sense.

It is getting boring, a lot of you here have this very irritating uptight complex

jumping down people's throats the second they get just because of a slight 'error' or a slight mistaken fact.

Honestly, ease up. It's really f'ing off putting.

You're telling us to ease off when you're the one who's clearly taking things too seriously when people simply point out some of your mistakes? What. Last time I checked no one has down right insulted and ridiculed you for making mistakes, so why then do you feel the need to make such a fuss over someone going "oh look, you made a mistake here"?

You're welcome to criticize, but it's the manner in which it's done. Especially as Moderators, it should be done in a nicer more helpful way rather then degrading or harsh. I just find that you can't say something that apparently 'incorrect' (which I still don't even believe 'I'd of said' is wrong) without it being picked up on in a strong way. It's like some of you have a 'I'm perfect & untouchable & always right' complex..

I'd only just read this thread for the first time today.
rolesfamily wrote:'I'd of said' makes sense.
It's not correct, "I'd have said" is. 'Of' is gathered from misinterpreting the pronunciation, as "could've" sounds nearly indistinguishable from 'could of'. 'Of' doesn't actually make any sense, I'm not entirely sure why you think it does. :P

Are you fucking serious? Is 'LOLOL' your definition of uptight, jumping on people's throats and exhibiting a superiority complex? You ease up, and laugh along for crying out loud. Your constant generalised accusations of people being 'out of touch', 'uptight', and so on, are far, far more annoying and offensive. I wasn't personally attacking you, simply pointing out a common and relatively amusing grammatical error with a 'lol'.

Like really.

Well I typed as if I was speaking it, it still makes sense to me, but I'm prepared to admit that I'm potentially wrong on that front! So I'll take your word for it

I'm happy to laugh at my mistakes, and maybe this is another one! - I think I'm just overly defensive from anti-ness @ me in the past and also the fact that I actually want to be generally liked in this community, so it matters to me if I'm sort of 'discarded'. It's probably all in my head. Like the fear at the Amityville horro house.

- Great segway back into that right?? :P
