The soup I eat mostly has in chicken, dumplings, ground provisions, carrots, sometimes celery, pork and that is it.
Man that sounds good! Do you cook it yourself?
My mother came up with that. I usually eat it whenever everyone in the family is in the house and no one is at work.
That sounds delish.
My dad sometimes makes sinigang, which is some sort of sour soup that uses tamarind paste, and arroz caldo, which is just chicken soup with rice, with eggs and ginger. I much prefer his arroz caldo these days but I wouldn't mind having sinigang again.

You better ask them for the recipe!

This sounds really nice too! I don't think I've ever had Filipino food before.
My specialty dish (the only dish I can competently cook) is spicy noodle soup topped with roasted duck breast and half a soft boiled egg. I'm hungry now

Yes please! I'd love to give it a try.

This must take some time to cook!
It's not too bad for time actually, I've got the method down to a tee. Eggs go on the boil for exactly 6 mins and then straight into cold water, the duck you have to pan fry a little to get those juices out and then pop it in the oven. And the spicy noodles I just use an instant pack (you can get some pretty classy ones!) and you add the duck juices to the noodle broth. Mmmmmm...
If the shops were open at 2 in the morning I swear I could almost be tempted to go out and buy a duck breast right now
