I've been using servimg ever since it imposed itself on Megaman Planet.

Never had any kind of problem since. Someday it will be a pain in the ass, sure, but not today.

That's besides the point, there's never a problem until there's a problem. Why not use forum attachments when it's the only guarantee that the image won't be gone ten years from now?

I seem to recall an incident when my MTI image disappeared just before voting started… And it was an attachment.

Said image has reappeared in its rightful place since though, which probably wouldn't have happened were it externally hosted.
