Re: Game shows
Well, algorithms get things wrong sometimes too!
Re: Game shows
Algorithms are smelly, why can't they just stop smelling.

All algorithms? Even the ones used to draw what's on your screen?

Re: Game shows
When I had Britbox I was watching the first season of Jungle Run which was something I watched every week when I was about 12. That season had Dominic Wood and dayum he was young back there.
It still makes me laugh how the set to that show was later used for The Naked Jungle; otherwise known as Keith Chegwin and 10 men and ladies run around naked and you see their bits and everything. Car crash TV indeed.

I heard there was this silly game show once where people sat in chairs, and every time they got something wrong their chair would move back. Eventually, they'd fall off the chair when it got to the edge, which sounds like it would look funny, but also be really dangerous. Maybe that's why it was cancelled.

What would they fall into, I wonder?
Re: Game shows
Into a floor I guess.

Re: Game shows
Awww man, that sounds anticlimatic!
But yeah I can also see the danger of that game show thinking about it.

Re: Game shows
So what it's like that Take That music video where they were all tied up on chairs and hanging off a cliff, then Gary Barlow was the first to be knocked off; but a game show. I might have seen something like it in passing but Okey dokey.

Re: Game shows
The last game show I watched recently was a show I hadn’t watched since I was a kid, called ‘The Weakest Link’. It was this game show with a group where you answer a bunch of different questions and bank a lot of money within a specific time limit, though if you answer wrong any money that hasn’t been banked is lost. After the round is over (there are 7 rounds total) the weakest link is voted on amongst the group and the person with the most votes is kicked off. The winner keeps the pot.

Re: Game shows
Oh yeah, they show repeats of that at 2pm every day. I always found it a bit distasteful, especially with the host's sarcasm…

Re: Game shows
For some reason I never liked game shows that much. The only ones I remember watching when I was younger were: The Weakest Link and other show where kids called in and with the keys of the phone they controlled a character that had to avoid obstacles (I guess it was some kind of Crash Bandicoot).

Oh I didn’t think they aired that show abroad too. HmmmPluMGMK wrote: Sat Jul 09, 2022 8:09 pm Oh yeah, they show repeats of that at 2pm every day. I always found it a bit distasteful, especially with the host's sarcasm…

Re: Game shows
I guess what I see is the UK version. Anne Robinson hosted it, she's very cutting in her comments…
