Re: Drinks ?
I just have my cereal and tea with no sugar and dinner with no salt. I don't add those to anything anymore really.

Re: Drinks ?
Sugar is technically not good for people due to the calories, that's why I stopped. To each his own though. The only reason I have to add salt to my diet is because my nutrionist told me to. I usually just like to just spice/add some other flavor component instead of salting it.
Re: Drinks ?
Yeah I just gave up using salt and sugar but I still use other condiments. Coca Cola tastes nice too but it's definitely another one that too much makes me feel really sick and get bad heartburn / reflux.

Re: Drinks ?
For me, I can't really drink any kind of soda in general due to my weight, even diet soda (diet soda, i've learned, has its own problems too). I prefer sparkling water in this instance, though I like regular water also these days.
Re: Drinks ?
A lot of diet soda isn't much better and in some cases diet can be worse.
Diet Coke has more caffeine than normal coke, in fact about 1.25 times the caffeine.

Re: Drinks ?
Water, chocolate milk, Powerade, Pepsi, root beer. Those are my preferred drinks in that order.
Re: Drinks ?
Pepsi doesn't turn my stomach like Coca-Cola whatever they have in that drink.

Re: Drinks ?
I'm not sure if it's the chemicals, but my nutrionist tells me that if I'm going to drink soda, drink the clear ones. I know it's because the colored ones have chemicals, but I still wonder...what's bad about those chemicals?
Re: Drinks ?
Maybe because there of the additives? Some of them, depending on the carbonated drink, come from stuff like palm oil. Which isn't that great for health. But i don't see why those couldn't be in clear ones.
Else, may be it's the food coloring ? But that'd be the first time i'd hear that food coloring is bad for you health.

Re: Drinks ?
Coca-Cola has phosphoric acid (I think as a preservative?), but I'm not sure whether or not Pepsi has it too.

Re: Drinks ?
According to Wikipedia, yes, Pepsi has it too. The only difference between the two that I see from researching on wiki is that Pepsi also has citric acid, while Coca-Cola doesn’t. I wonder if this second acid is the reason Steo doesn’t get as sick from drinking it. Geez I have this strange urge to look up every drink ingredient now. After I get up later that is.
Re: Drinks ?
I'm genuinely wondering now. I can drink some of it in small amounts but if I drink too much of it then it literally can leave me feeling kind of horrible for a couple of days. Even when I drank lager a lot it took far more of that to make me feel sick than Coca-Cola. I think it's definitely some acid or maybe the syrup? I'm not too sure.

Re: Drinks ?
Bleck, high fructose corn syrup? Definitely one of the reasons why I stopped drinking so much soda, it's what makes it so sugary despite the sugar content saying it's low sugar.

Hm, I have no idea. It's a sweetener, but....
Re: Drinks ?
Maybe that's why it makes me feel sick then

Re: Drinks ?
All sodas I think have this kind of sweetener. Regular sodas I mean. Some diet sodas may have splenda, etc...
Re: Drinks ?
What do they have in really cheap off brand ones then I wonder.

Re: Drinks ?
Now I'm genuinely wondering that too. Maybe rip-off chemicals?
