This looks awesome.... but how are you gonna make the second phase @ the cave of Skops?
Rayman needs an firefly to see in the level

A big dark 3D cave of skops, where you could easily get lost in? Awesome!

I just got an image of playing Rayman through a cave, (only going forwards with occasional turnings) where you have to chase the glowworm, otherwise you're stuck in darkness, with objects like moving platforms etc. getting in the way. ^^

This isn't Rayman 1, this is Rayman 1.5 ~ Revenge of the Dark. Although, I could make a cave level. CryEngine2 (the engine for this game) supports dynamic lights, meaning it casts real shadows, and can handle other lights that also cast their own shadows. So all I'd have to do is attach a light to Rayman's fist that casts about 15 feet maybe?

I do not believe so. It will feature the Picture City music though in a clouds level.

I'm working on Band Land right now. I'll upload some screens when I have more than an embarrassing amount done.
aka once I've modeled some 3d bongos!

Mr. SAX probably won't come back, but you never know, although probably not.

Actually he wouldn't me very hard to model at all.

Don't forget the slippery platforms from Band Land in R1! They'd be cool in 3D; maybe Rayman cound slide along them, like grinding on a rail in Tony Hawk's Pro Skater!

Their stems currently bend in the wind, (the game has dynamic wind effects) and I'm working on them having some animations, such as blinking and some hovering animations.

I also see that signature thing caught on.
You guys wanted to see the clouds right? I believe Sabertooth did anyway. I tried to model it as close to the original 2D sprite as I could. Although seriously, the cloud is made up of a bunch of spheres. It took like 4 mins.
