We shouldn’t have coloured names. There are already too many different colours for moderators and administrators.

Rainbow colored names, maybe?

I was thinking in a white colour for the names, it is very easy to identify.

I think white would be too bright, I was thinking a bold blue.

Olive green...

Coloured usernames should be reserved for staff members because they naturally make administrators and moderators distinguishable from "ordinary" members. We don't want to over-confuse things for newcomers.

In my opinion spiraldoor's idea is the best here. Maybe this position could be represented by something other than a star though, possibly something Rayman-related? Perhaps we could amalgamate the best user poll results with this "premium user" thing too.

Not white. It just wouldn’t fit with the site’s colour scheme. Everything here is a mixture of yellow and a sort of gentle greenish-black. It works quite well this way.

Rayman’s ‘O’ or the equivalent symbol on Polokus’s stones come to mind. Or perhaps something from Rayman 1, to fit with the Tings. Maybe a Big Power.

I’m not sure if I like the idea of our value as members being determined by what essentially amounts to a popularity contest.

Hmmmmmm... OK then. Then I'll go for the symbols idea. How about a Golden Fist from Rayman 1?

Wait. I just had one of those ‘eureka’ moments. The ‘P’ on the Big Power can be made to stand for ‘Premium’, as in ‘Premium Member’. An ingenious idea. (If I do say so myself.)

I was thinking in a Golden Fist from Rayman 1. I think both are workable.

Both ARE workable... very much so. I'm with Spiral on this one though; 'P' makes more sense, and it's slightly more nostalgic than the golden fist.

And have it as the animated GIF. Or if it's too sparkly, just have a GIF where it's the sphere and ever two or three seconds a diagonal white flare/glare flashes down it.

I'm going to approve the "P" icon.

Nobody seems bothered by the fully-animated Ting gif, so I don’t see why we can’t have a fully-animated Big Power one.

I like the Big Power idea.

But I'm still disappointed that I won't have rainbow lasers to destroy the next post.

If so, I think Awardings would be a good way to replace the gap that's lost.
