I loved how they used to sound, back in the day when they made their debut (I have that video!

I must say I really liked Dalek Sek - the one that was turned [into a human hybrid]. He was amazing - filosophical, free, caring and not at all like any of the others.
...
Wow, the things you can conclude from only a few lines spoken by a character only appearing once.

Dalek Sec was indeed a great character, he would have brought salvation to the dalek race, unfortunately, the rest of the cult disagreed...
I did like how the two-parter went though, and how the Doctor was willing to help despite past battles.
Dalek Caan kindof redeemed himself too in Journey's End.

Well...I can vouch for that.
I'm not into Torchwood, though SJA was quite good whilst it lasted.

I wanted to, I never have had the chance.

Watched the Xmas Special yesterday, it was ok, but, not one of Moffats best.
I don't think Moffat's best suited to Xmas specials, he's better at writing eps for the main series.

Yeah I kind of liked the episode as a regular episode - not really a Christmas special. The one from last year - the one with the girl from the freezers - was bril; was Moffat the writer of that one?
The Weeping Angels are ok. I like them, but they were the best in the 'Don't Blink' episode - after that, they've just become a bit overdone for me. I miss the Daleks... where are my seven rainbow-coloured lovelies? I thought they had been resurrected, or salvaged, or something, right? So where are they then? Explain! EXPLAIN!
EXPLAAAAAIIIIN!
PS
Anyone know when the next series starts?

Yes, he was.
Though I still think his Xmas specials aren't the best example of his writing
And I agree, the Blink episode was the best one featuring the Weeping Angels, they did get kindof stale afterwards, I guess they just don't have that 1960's and 70's work behind them like the Daleks and Cybermen.
If I recall correctly, Moffat said that they were "retiring" the Dalek for a while since they were getting old apparently, so it may be a while before we hear the dulcet tones of the Dalek.
I'll be honest, I'm not a fan of the 2010 redesign, they look too bulky.
All previous Dalek models, even those from the classic series, look sleek and functional.
Though my favourite design of Dalek is the WWII design, Ironically enough (Appeared in the debut episode of the 2010 Daleks).
I have no idea when the next series is, usually there is a trailer for the next series after the xmas special, but this time they had one for Sherlock (also written by Moffat, and it's not too bad at all), and I've heard rumours that the next series will consist of of 14 episodes, which will air in Autumn to Winter 2013.

Bump for great discoveries!
I think I just found out where the 'new Daleks' went:

Going to download a trial of the game and see if it's any good.

City of the Daleks has been out since 2010, the first trailer for it aired after the Victory Of the Daleks episode from Series 5.
As for the post before that,
I badly phrased what I said, what I meant was that Series 7 will take place from Autumn 2012 - Winter 2013.

I wonder when Matt Smith will regenerate. I miss David Tennant.
