Given that some of the earlier responses in this thread implied that we can become fictional characters, I would become omnipotent ParadoxJuice.

No, magic wands are a perfectly acceptable component in a fantasy story. Sparkling vampires, on the other hand, are a horrible twist on mythic monsters which were never intended to appeal to teenage girls. I can’t believe you’re actually defending Twilight.

Stories do this kind of thing all the time. Look at The Da Vinci code, look at National Treasure, they both made their own claims on secret organizations. I don't see the problem with creating your own fictional story that includes your own takes on fictional mythology, be it light or extreme. It's not like this is overwrinting the original profile of a vampire.
