I would've been seven… I'm so glad I didn't find this place until I was 13! I mean, I was still nooby as hell, but at least I had some sort of grasp of the rules!

I'm just some random person and I exist so that's cool how I found a Rayman community.

But how do you know you exist? :mefiant:

(More seriously, I think I might add this to my collection!)

The guy who gives out free samples at the supermarket!

The latest addition? I actually added two for the sake of balance – there was DesLife wondering why you'd bother with a GUI when you have ncurses, and Lovy conversely wondering why you'd bother with ncurses when you have a GUI!

Old quotes, I see. Do we not say anything of interest nowadays?

I was like "What's with all the tons of posts in threads that have been dormant for a while?" And then like "Oh, right, it's the posts-in-a-day thingy".

Most of them I had no idea even existed, so it makes for a handful of pleasant discoveries.

Well, that's one of the goals of Record Day, to reshuffle the discussions and keep the new year interesting! And I guess it's the only goal when the actual record is so comically out of reach!

Yes. It's amazing. This thing used to be almost like an IRC chat server. There were years when within 3 minutes you'd have 5 answers to a TTQ question. I guess this was before the social media boom. Now the instant real-time conversations have migrated there, and the forums are becoming more like information archives, or a multi-person public email discussion. I think it's great, as long as there is enough "meat" for the forums to stay alive, and I think RPC is doing great in that regard!

Yeah, I suppose we are like a mailing list now, but way prettier! :hap:
