I've been on Pirate-Community for 5 and a half years so far.

I joined the staff in 2019 also, and did become a little inactive due to being busy here and there, mainly life changes etc. I still try to be around though.

What about the posts you made on the portal in 2018?

I don't really know either. I just remember that when I first came here Humch and Romano still had nice-looking signatures made by th3()ne indicating their roles in the project, but I think at that point they were already a bit out of date!

Yeah, from what I can tell he was (is I guess) a fairly talented artist when he wasn't trolling the forum

Well, when I started he had a Hoodoo rank, but then about a month later he donated all his Tings to a new alt account and proceeded to cause a bit of chaos for a while

What was the account called? He has a bit of a story behind him

Also may I ask why matyuv has that funny rank?

I think Matyuv earned the right to wear Gangsta Globox indefinitely by helping out with the "orsum design" brought in with the upgrade to phpBB3

Like he designed that funny blocky rayman rank?

Well tbh I'm just surmising. I remember Matyuv already had a permanent Gangsta Globox when I joined, and that seems like the most reasonable explanation. But I guess Humch can clear this up

I can't remember why he got it either, but it could have been the new style. I can confirm, however, that GoldenSunOnline was meant to be just that, an online multiplayer version of Golden Sun. We never got very far with it, but I still remember a short demo where the player could move around in a village. I think survivor had created it in Flash. All of that has been lost forever, obviously.

Yeah, it’s weird seeing old posts and looking back at the lifeless accounts and knowing somebody is still living their best life out there (maybe even with a wife/husband and kids, with the 2000s users) or their best death? Let’s just hope they are still out there!
