Rayman's winning! Lets hope it stays that way!

We live in a fantastic world. I find it odd that they're still adding characters to the album though, like Ratchet & Clank. Isn't it a little late for those guys to catch up?

Perhaps a next poll will feature them.

But it's not over yet. There is still a chance Spyro or Crash will catch up on Rayman. To my idea it seems we are the only ones promoting a character though. So let's keep that up just as long until we find Rayman in this list.

Crash still has a chance. Spyro though? He has...9 votes. I'm sorry, but I just can't see that poor guy catching up. It's a shame because I like Spyro a great deal more than Crash, but hey, Rayman trumps all.

112 likes? Wow, that was a big improvement if we compare with yesterday ! I wonder if my video and Rayfist's helped in this.

You know, all of this reminds me of five years ago when I desperately wanted for Rayman to make an appearance in Brawl. In hindsight this was kind of a longshot, and of course it didn't end up happening. But now I feel as if there's an actual chance. We have the power to make this happen! Together, we can all make a difference for the sake of our hero Rayman!

Can you make some journals in the Rayman groups as well? There are lots of followers there so there'll surely be more votes from them.

Rayman being in Brawl pretty much didn't happen probably because of the obvious bias Nintendo would have towards Japanese franchises when you actually think about it, I'm not sure I could see a single Western one in any Super Smash Bros.

You know out of all the other franchises that will feature in this game, I have only played Crash Bandicoot and Tomb Raider, and I never really got on with either of them barring Crash Twinsanity and maybe one of the Lara Croft spinoffs on PSN. The first two Crash games I found more frustrating than I ever did with the first Rayman even, and all I used to do in the first TR was piss about in her mansion and drown Lara in her swimming pool (edit: wait a min I played the first TR on Sega saturn, it was TR2 I played on PS1 oopsie). The rest just didn't interest me at all, I only had the PS1 and 2 for Rayman games and barely anything more, in fact I never really had more than 10 games at one time for both consoles.

There are already big chances of Crash being playable, but we also need to make sure that Rayman doesn't get beaten by a hedgehog haired boy.

I think that Rayman Crash and also Spyro will be in the game... They are the third-parties with most votes... I think it won't be a big problem to add them three for the producers.

What’s wrong with the Crash Bandicoot fanbase? I haven’t heard anything bad about them. We’ve had several fairly prominent members on this site who also happen to post on CrashMania. However, I will say that I absolutely do not understand their fondness for Twinsanity, which really turned me off the series.

Staggering the uploads over the course of a few days won’t make much of a difference if they keep the polls running for a few months – they’ve said that the competition will run until the game releases. DLC and all that.

On the contrary: securing the rights to all of these characters and treating them in a way that keeps their owners happy is probably a bureaucratic nightmare. That’s why there were only two third-party characters (Snake and Sonic) in Brawl. Sony seems to be putting more money into getting their hands on other companies’ characters, which is good, but they’ll still need an extra push to assure them that Rayman will prove more popular than some first-party character.

Yes, defeating the competition isn’t enough – we need to grind them into the dust. Only then can we be assured of Rayman’s future. And it is a future: if this game is as successful as it looks to be, it’s surely going to become a series to rival Smash Bros, which is clearly Sony’s intention. Rayman’s inclusion in the first PlayStation All-Stars will greatly increase the likelihood that he – along with his friends, enemies and world – will be featured in the sequels.
