Is there something wrong with me doing that? At the very least I'd figure it to be helpful, even if just a little bit. The only reason I actually corrected you on that word is because it really stuck out, I don't think there's anything wrong with that. :P

I'm about to finish the first Fullversion build. But before I build the installation is it legally allowed ? I thought to include a Serialnumber, which you only get by a prove that you own all games. Is it anyway legally allowed?

Its ok, I just get annoyed by making mistakes.

Hmmm, I think other members in here are better to explain that.

Welllll... you are reverse-engineering and recompiling, no? Legal companies aren't too big about that sort of thing. However, unless you were going to sell it for money, I don't think they have any incentive to go after you - if they even manage to find you. They have better things to do and in reality, what would chasing after you solve for them? No, I think you're quite alright.

Reverse engineering the application of a game is very illegal.

Reverse engineering the application of a game from 1995 will result in no fucks given.

It isn't like Ubisoft re-released the PC games of Rayman 1 in order to fully work in the nowadays computers so...

Um... well, you can try, but I think you'll lose all your betatesters. :P

It's fine - JUST DO IT.

Well, the Fullversion variant is now also available. Check the first post! You'll need a registration number to install. Contact me per PM or at [email protected]
Don't forget the prove that you own Rayman 1, Rayman Designer, Rayman by his Fans and Rayman 60 Levels. Otherwise I can't generate you a number. P.S: Haruka proved enough. Your gameplay is enough! If you want a number, Haruka, just tell me per PM or my eMail.

Wow, the spin-offs surely run in the native speed back in the Windows 95 computers! :D

Only Rayman 1 needs adjustments yet. When I start playing the speed is too much high.

I also would suggest you to rename the shortcut of "Rayman and his fans" to "Rayman By His Fans" which is the correct title. ;)

This patch is brilliant, we have been waiting for an improvement of the DOSBox emulator but it seems its still stopped in the 0.74 version.

If anybody has the files needed by emshomar (English 60 inédit levels), please help him! I'll help with my French files. :)

Alright!

Hmmm, its the first time I see that screenshot of the english 60 Levels. To be honest I thought it was exclusively released in France and Germany only.

In the Netherlands we had "Rayman 100 Levels" which combined Rayman 60 Levels and Rayman By His Fans on one disc. It also claims to include 3 minigames and The making of Rayman 2, but I've never found any of those features on the disc :P

Do you still need the English "60 Levels" files, emshomar? If I remember correctly, my version was in English :)

EDIT: Whether you need it or not, I'm sending my English "pcmap" folder to you now! ;)

Dec, I was just about to post that!

According to the box (that I have right here in front of me), Rayman 100 levels/100 niveaux consists of
60 new games [read: levels - fail Dutch] selected from Rayman Collector and 40 new levels that have been made by Rayman fans for a contest on the internet. The games [levels] have been selected by difficulty curve in order to create an easy start.
The box concludes with the message
3 minigames from the Rayman world:
ending in an exciting colon, but then fails to present these '3 minigames'.

On the front, it tells of 100 new levels of which 60 are entirely new, 3 minigames and the making of Rayman 2. I guess this disc combines both Rayman 60 levels and Rayman By His Fans?
---

I wish UbiSoft would bring out the UbiArt framework and create a contest to make Rayman Origins By ... Its? ... Fans. That could lead to very interesting new level designs and a new gaming experience. As long as they don't charge us 40 euros for it.

Try to compare the some of the 60 levels you own with my videos from 60 Niveaux Inédits. They are probably the same thing.

That reminds me I should do a walkthrough of By His Fans.

I have tested the full installer version but have so far only played the original Rayman. I had to run it in windowed mode, because in full screen mode, it would go terribly slowly (especially when quitting the game, with the screen "drooping" off). Is it perhaps because you've applied a filter to it? While it isn't too noticeable, I think it might go slightly too fast on my computer as well, in windowed mode (I can tell by looking at the timer in the bonus levels).
It skips some frames sometimes, but I guess that's normal, since it's being emulated via DOSBox, right?

Also, about the configuration program you included, it doesn't seem to influence the resolution at which the game is run in windowed mode and I don't notice any differences (speed nor looks) when using the OpenGL option (both in windowed and in full-screen mode).

Not too bad so far! I'll play the other games tomorrow and write some more :)

P.S.
I was surprised to see parallax backgrounds and an intro movie in this version! My version didn't include that. It's a shame that this version, like my version, uses the Redbook audio instead of stage-specific tracks though.

As far as I recall, the parallax backgrounds were only available in the original game, and you needed to have the option for it checked.

I'm testing this out now.

Interresting! Did you applied a higher resolution then 1024x786? Yes theres a filter build in it and if you set the Resolution higher the filter will work on more pixels. I recommend to set the Resolution as small as your PC can handle.
I don't know what you mean by Parallax Backgrounds or Redbook audio. The OpenGL option is set in the configurator cuz some PC can boost FPS by OpenGL.

Parallax backgrounds:

Redbook Audio is the format the music is stored in on the CD.
