Ooh, I'm not sure how long it has been for me, but quite some time, I'm sure.

Hm, looking at the previous page, I still don't like Adventure Time as much as I love other modern day cartoons. I want to ask members on why they like. Anybody wanna answer?

What I love about AT is the balance between silliness and seriousness. What seems like a completely nonsensical and trippy cartoon, it actually can become very deep, heartwarming, scary or tearjerking. And when it wants to be touching, it hits hard in the feels. In a way, it's quite a lot like the most acclaimed Pixar films and that is exactly what I want.
The characters develop as time goes, especially Finn at this moment, and the continuity is currently very strong. The current season has been rather dramatic, but it does have more lighthearted breather episodes every now and then. The show is known for all the adult humor that constantly slips past the radars (Seriously, the latest episode was nearly at Adult Swim levels but goddamn it was hilarious), but it isn't the only "adult" thing in the show. Ice King's backstory with Marceline tugged the heartstrings of millions and it did better than most drama shows on TV at it!
But I understand how the fact that it goes to pretty dark topics can't appeal to everyone. AT can be quite offsetting to people whose preference in cartoons is the more lighthearted and kid-friendly ones.

And thus GN steals the spotlight with the greatest reason as to why Adventure Time is so amazing. Honestly though, one of my friends today said that she hates Adventure Time because it "makes no sense". Man does she have a lot of catching up to do - Adventure Time may seem like a nonsensical and trippy cartoon, as you stated, but it's by far the most complex cartoon out there nowadays. Most people vastly underestimate the plot of the show because they "can't follow it" or because it "makes no sense", which it does if you pay close attention. Yes, one episode is likely completely different from another which is why a lot of people might perceive the show as being utter "nonsense", but most of the episodes - especially ones from the last couple of seasons - have great plots which are easy to follow if you actually watch the show. And it's the out-of-context events in the series which I love so much; almost every episode is something different which proves that it's a very creative show that constantly persists to be entertaining and of high quality. The show is equally funny, "trippy", and in-depth with great plot and character developments and many emotion-meddling moments as you stated.

The first season was definitely the most lighthearted of them all and later the show had gone into a deeper plot with often times perceptively strange, and lighthearted episodes still scattered around here and there as you said. The show doesn't have a large, cult fan-base for no reason, now does it.

Regular Show, on the other hand, is true nonsense. It's not a bad show, it's just that the plots of the episodes in that show are iffy and there wasn't much character development going on at all until they finally decided to do something between Mordecai and Margaret. And every episode I've seen has the same structure: the episode starts out normally, then something entirely werid and nonsensical occurs and they have to solve the situation and it typically involves has a bit of violence slapped in there somewhere, then they finally solve the problem and the episode ends. Oh, and have any of you noticed how many random explosions happen throughout the show? I find the show to be vastly overrated and a lot of people at my school bash Adventure Time for what seems like absolutely no reason at all, and if they have one it's not a very well thought up reason. Most of them have probably never taken the time to sit down and watch at least one full season let alone the entire show, which they should watch all of the episodes that have been put out there because they'd hopefully realize how wondeful the show truly is. On the other hand, my school also has a pretty strong miniority of Adventure time fans to balance out the hate and most of them are far more dedicated to the show than I am.

GN did make some valid points and they're pretty good. And so did you, Dark Lum Lord. Maybe when a recent, new episode airs again, I'll give my full attention to it.

As will I. I really want to watch all of the many episodes that I've missed and keep up with all of the new ones to come, because it truly is a great show. I always end up forgetting to watch the show though. I'll get around to it eventually.

Also new season of South Park starts today!

I cried when we first found out about simon petrikov, and i dont cry for shit on tv. as for regular show, it started off strong, but went into a 90's sitcom type of show in this currently ending season, which greatly disapointed me, but the mordoXmarget storys kept me from being to bored with it.

Ah, yes, the Simon Petrikov backstory, tragic indeed, but it didn't affect me in the same way that Iroh's did.

Indeed, such a brilliant and powerful way to convey his tragic loss, and a beautiful way to honour the passing of his voice actor.

My favourite cartoon show was the Moomins. It is extremely popular in Finland, because it is based on books by Finnish author Tove Jansson (even though the cartoon series is Japanese). In Finland the cartoon show is called "Muumilaakson tarinoita"

Moomins are really good. It is also a rare cartoon in Japan since most of the time Japan does anime. Only japanese cartoons I watched are Moomins and Ahiru no Quack (Alfred. J Kwak - although Dutch people helped there too)

Ah, Alfred J. Kwak. That was also one of my favourites as a child.

It also has some dark moments too.

'Bout Regular Show, yeah, I know it follows a formula, its title is meant to depict the irony of how whacked-up the situations in the show get. I like the show because of how surreal it can get in relation to a seeimingly normal problem. Story-wise, I agree, it's no Adventure Time or the like, but I still think it is enjoyable and amusing.

Yeah, it can be entertaining at times, but after awhile of it being on air, it's gotten old. The formula doesn't cut it for me anymore. I've always seen the show as being cheesy and quality-lacking, but that could just be me.

To each their own, then.
Still, could be worse, it's certainly no Johnny Test.
